The house was originally renovated to a high standard, excellent views, very nice terrace, good kitchen, quiet area away from the main roads, close to nice trails, lifts and Lucerne (we like the city a lot)...

This Hotel is a few km outside the city on the hillside, looking down to Luzern city and lakes. View is lovely, and you're in the country-side with lovely fields and farm-houses. We chose this instead of the city centre and were pleasantly surprised. If you like walking or are planning to got to the Pilatus mountain this is a great location (without a car you will need a taxi to go to city, to the Kriens village with the Pilatus cable car it's a walking distance. This Hotel is in the middle of nature.
The hotel(room) is simple but sufficient for a short stay. The balcony was very nice to sit outside on a warm summer evening. The breakfast is good and sufficient, but not very luxurious.
The shared bathrooms/toilets were always available and cleaned regularly.
There are nice spacious common areas with comfortable sofas and chairs and TV.

We were well looked after by all the staff! The hotel is beautiful and has great charm. We had a room with a balcony which had a stunning view of the village and the church. The room was a great size and beds were extremely comfortable. All of the hotel was very clean and well maintained. Breakfast had great options. We were sad to leave this hotel and look forward to coming again.
I really liked the Anstatthotel in Horw for its modern and clean design, self-service check-in convenience, and fully equipped rooms with kitchenettes. Its proximity to Lucerne made exploring easy, while the peaceful environment provided a great retreat. The affordability and reliable Wi-Fi added to the overall value, making it an excellent choice for our stay.
The hotel provided a clean and well-maintained room. A small amenity was left on the table, which was a nice gesture.
Overall, Villa Maria is a good option for travelers seeking a basic, clean hotel stay. It won't blow you away, but it gets the job done.
If you are going to splurge a bit, this Chateau is well worth the extra dollars, so luxurious, amazing view, the breakfast that was included was amazing and we were treated like royalty, mini bar included, the room was so clean and comfortable, all amenities were of the highest quality

The singing of various birds in the garden was incredible. We loved listening to them after we woke up. It felt like we were visiting an aunt.
If we come back to Lucern, I know we would book this place again.
The hotel has good facilities such as washing machine, small kitchen that allow you to do some simple cooking within the room. Location is normal but is walking distance from the main station, it is also close to those luxury shops and has a lot of nice restaurant nearby.
Great luxury mansion converted into a backpackers. Fantastic value for money, quite easy to reach on the bus, and was clean and comfortable. Very smooth system overall run by the hosts, who were very pleasant and friendly.
