The bed was super comfortable. The furniture and interior very beautiful. Everything was new and modern. The coffemaschine and the coffee was super and the kitchen functional. Most charming is the character of the neighborhood, stone houses wispering stories of the past. We enjoyed our stay 100%. The days are inviting to discover the whole area. Great apartment in a very peaceful location. Fabulous views and close to hiking trails. I would recommend the Monte Bar hike and highly recommend stopping at the Capanna Monte Bar restaurant on the way up. We enjoyed rolling out our yoga mats on the balcony. Valle Verzasca is also highly recommended for a hike along the most stunning river - best to go early though as parking spaces are limited.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the historic Hotel Monte Verità in Ascona. Surrounded by beautiful lush vegetation and steeped in the rich history of the colony, the hotel offers a unique and serene atmosphere. Its proximity to Ascona allowed us to fully enjoy the vibrant Jazz Festival for three days, making our visit even more special. A perfect blend of nature, history, and culture, Hotel Monte Verità is an enchanting retreat that we highly recommend.
The staff at Hotel La Perla were all lovely and friendly and polite. I lost an expensive bracelet whilst there, and I believe a member of staff handed it in at reception, which I was very grateful for.
We stayed in the villa, which was spacious, and it was cleaned to a high standard.
There was plenty of choice for breakfast each morning.
We liked everything. The near by city center is a big plus....accessible through 2 entrences. Flat with perfect equipment....luxurious finest china ware and glass ware, very comfy beds with luxurious beddings, walls with lots of paintings. Very quiet place. Private free parking near by is a top benefit from the owner. Very unusual in this town.

THIS VIEW 😍 I never knew I could visit a place that had snow capped mountains and palm trees at the same time! Our concierge described Ascona as a “sleepy village” and I couldn’t agree more! Such a cute place and our room was wonderful! We loved sitting on our terrace and it was conveniently located near restaurants. We walked around near the lake a bit before leaving in the morning. If you want a lovely spot to stay in Ascona, I highly recommend Hotel Elvezia ☺️
Ascona is a magnificent village. The hotel is well located close to the center of Ascona and a beach and well served by bus. Hotel with a very pleasant terrace, very clean, quiet and comfortable. The manager and staff are very welcoming. Good sweet and savory breakfast. Parking and restaurant in the hotel. Lots of interesting cultural events in Ascona and Locarno
Location was quiet. Calm and peaceful. Restaurant offers good food. Staff are generally friendly. The heated indoor pool was great. The live duo band in the evening was also a nice touch.
The staff at the reception were kind and helpful especially when we needed assistance.
I didn’t know that there were villas. If I had known, I would have definitely booked a stay there as it looked comfortable.
