The staff was polite and helpful, but did not speak any language other than Portuguese. The rooms are very modest, as is the bathroom. If someone expects luxury and aesthetic experiences, they will not find them in this hotel. The area is very specific, we were recommended to travel by uber despite the proximity to the center.
The apartment was perfect for us. It certainly wasn't luxurious, just one room plus bath. At first, we were concerned about the neighborhood when we arrived at night, but soon realized that by day it was a very busy area and near major attractions and businesses. Best of all, the air conditioning was a great relief from the heat, there was a washing machine and a stove, and the internet was the best we encountered.
The moment we were greeted at reception we felt welcomed. Those working at Villa Amazonia were exceptionally helpful and kind. The food and drinks were absolutely incredible. The room was top-notch. Great shower and amenities. The soaps, lotions, and scented diffusers were a lovely touch. It was the perfect way to end our time in Manaus!
Leaving the streets of Manaus to enter this oasis is just a dream. The reception smells wonderful and sets the mood as you enter the building to reach your rooms. The staff are wonderful. A boutique luxury experience. Best hotel with this value we stayed at in Brazil.
