The place is very cheap and in a nice central location, it was kind of hard to find it at first just because it’s in the back of a couple of other places. It’s very simple, don’t expect any luxury. But it has an ac and hot water and a small kitchen that everyone can use.
The owner let us use the bathroom to change and leave out stuff before it was ready to check in and checked if all was good whenever we walked past him.

Everything was perfect! The place cannot be better :-D the location is right in front of the beach, with two mini markets right next to it and a 5 minute walk to the pier. The room was brand new with a nice tv, everything was super clean and it had everything you needed to feel at home. The shower was warm and the bathroom was comfortable to use.
I will say the main event of the place is the balcony/kitchen/dining area. We sadly had a very rare case of very rainy days and it was heaven just sitting outside but covered under the roof, with the amazing view of the ocean while having a beer and even cooking with all the necessary utensils, 4 gas stoves, a sandwich maker, a grill oven and a huge fridge. Truly unique to see such well equiped outdoor kitchen.
The other thing that shocked us was that one night the lights went out in the entire town (or island maybe) and we were literally the only house with electricity because of the advanced system of panels and batteries Vitoria installed! We even watched a movie because the internet was working!
Felt like in a 5 star hotel in one of the most beautiful yet laid back, quiet and relaxing towns I've ever been!
It is easy to get to from Angra, there are so many options for restaurants, hikes and tours on a boat, the beach in Araçatiba is already beautiful, but you have other beaches 15, 30 and 50 minutes to either side if you want to explore, and Vitoria, the host was super helpful from the moment we booked almost 2 months before we went there.
Would 100% return to Araçatiba and to Casa Quintal!

The beachfront views were amazing and it was lovely to fall asleep listening to the sea. Hosts Tatiana and Cesar were superb hosts and helped us with trips and transfers. Loved it so much we extended our stay. A perfect time
The garden of the Pousada is gorgeous. It is a bit off the rest of the village, so it is more quiet which we liked - but makes it difficult to reach because of the steep way. The receptionists always were giving tips and help. The room itself was as described.
We left prematurely because of the blackout situation and the weather, so the owner did give us 50% off the initial price without us asking for it, which we highly appreciate.
It was BEAUTIFUL. The rooms and facilities were absolutely spotless and it felt like staying at a luxury villa. We received complementary breakfast every morning as well as an afternoon tea with snacks and coffee. INCREDIBLE!

A fabulous rainforest, garden retreat. Incredible host who goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is both comfortable and filled with activities, as her knowledge of the island is vast. The inn is around a 3/5 minute walk from the village which is an easy meander to the shops and restaurants. The inn is generally quiet and very clean.
