Barossa Idyll, hotel in Tanunda

Located in Tanunda and only 41 km from Big Rocking Horse, Barossa Idyll provides accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking.

Barossa Idyll comfortably accommodated our family group of 8 (4 couples). There was another room available with a Queen size bed which we would have used also, but one couple unfortunately could not come at the last minute. Being a big group and getting ready for a wedding, we appreciated the 4 separate rooms with a bath or shower! The rooms were very clean, big fluffy towels provided, and the beds were comfortable with lovely linen. We didn’t prepare any meals at the property but there was a fully equipped kitchen, large fridge and pantry. Thank you to our host for leaving us a lovely platter of cheese, sausage, pate, bread and wine for our arrival. There were several areas for us to relax inside which were comfortable and the large room had a beautiful view. Easy finding keys and checking out.

Kaiser Ridge - eco stay, hotel in Bethany

Boasting garden views, Kaiser Ridge - eco stay provides accommodation with patio, around 45 km from Big Rocking Horse. There is a private entrance at the villa for the convenience of those who stay.

We loved everything about this stay! We try and get away occasionally for date nights and this by far was the best we had experienced. As we entered the property all instructions were perfect and made the journey great fun. We parked at our tiny home to see the most amazing view. We were excited to then see the tiny home. As we walked up the steps we saw a gorgeous patio with outdoor bath. As we entered we saw personalised note from the owner, which was amazing as it was very last minute. Next to that was an offering of whiskey. Every detail was so thought out including fresh flowers, fruit and veg to make a fresh juice, coffee beans and so much more. The tiny house was extremely clean and comfortable with lovely bedding and Luxury towels. I could go on and on about our stay. It can be hard to leave the comfort of your own home but this eco stay is the home away from home.

The house was amazing - exceptionally generous in terms of space to move around. The surrounding area was quiet and it so easy to get to the shops. We really enjoyed our stay and we loved the space.

Grand Cru Estate Homestead, hotel in Springton

Featuring air-conditioned accommodation with a patio, Grand Cru Estate Homestead is located in Springton. This property offers access to a balcony and free private parking.

There were some extra touches that made the stay great. There were plenty of provisions in the kitchen to made breakfast or potentially another meal. The location is quite remote so it's a bonus that Peter has the option of purchasing a pizza from his pizza restaurant.

The cottage has been lovingly restored, decorated and turned into a beautiful, cosy retreat. The hosts attention to detail was exceptional and there were little delights and surprises to be found in every corner. An outdoor firepit, indoor fire, outdoor bath, indoor spa, heated bathroom floor, little chocolates, beautiful gardens and places to sit and enjoy.

The chapel is a unique place to stay with upstairs loft double bedroom retreat and a second double bed downstairs. The bathroom is impressive. Kitchen is functional with lots of useful items. We were able to walk down to coffee shop, bakery, grocery store, restaurant and pub. Wineries required a car or taxi

Cosy little cottage with a reasonable proximity to useful nearby locations including bike hire and vineyards. It serves as a great retreat from Worklife. This was all underpinned by the responsive and bubbly Elaine who served as host/manager.
