Our Hosts, Fran & Terry welcomed us on our arrival to their beautifully appointed house across the road from the beach. If I could give 6 stars I would as all of our needs were fulfilled. The evening port was certainly appreciated. Look forward to a return visit.

Sweet Home Alexander, hotel in Burnie

Sweet Home Alexander offers accommodations in Burnie, 1.4 miles from South Burnie Beach and 28 miles from Hellyer River and Hellyer Gorge.

The place was a very well furnished property, with lots of very thoughtful feastures including a wonderful loaf of fresh baked bread on arrival. I needed to do some long business meeting on zoom on two days I was there and the hosts kindly ran speed tests on their internet to make sure the wifi was up for it. They have fast internet at the property (side comment, why isnt this information available on booking.com - some wifi is so slow it is useless for video conferencing..) which worked very well for my meetings. The hosts also allowed me a later check out for a reasonable fee. I liked that the property was right in the centre of Burnie but it wasn't noisy in the evening.

Penguin by the Sea Accommodation, hotel in Burnie

Penguin by the Sea Accommodation is a recently renovated vacation home in Cooee where guests can make the most of the garden and barbecue facilities.

Great location in a quiet area and the hosts were really friendly, helpful and great to deal with which is always a bonus. We discovered the Penguin by the Sea Accommodation in Cooee. As we needed budget accommodation for work. The accommodation is comfortable with great winter heating. The beds are really comfortable great, and that meant we got a good night’s sleep after a long day of travel. The kitchen has pots, pans, crockery, and cutlery, and the home also has a washing machine, iron, and dryer for added convenience. There is a covered in deck with barbecue for warmer weather, it was too chilly to use while there this trip. We were able to leave refreshed 2 days later, we would stay there again.

This was our second stay at this property. We absolutely love it there. The view from the cabin is amazing -- we spotted a whale from the living room! It's a very private and very quiet area, which we just love. The fresh eggs are a nice touch too. We were able to do a load of laundry while here. The hosts are so kind. Everything was just amazing and so relaxing. Great value for money here. The little town of Penguin is great.

Great touches of luxury, be it the bath robes, the free port/sherry & chocolates, the embossed tourism and guest comment books. Fantastic attention to detail. Really handy location for heading out in either direction along the coast, also a short walk into centre of town and the waterfront. Highly recommend this property!

Beautiful cottage with touches if luxury like beautiful linen sheets. Coffee maker was a treat and the location was central and perfect. The nights are surprisingly quite given the central location. Would definitely rebook when in Burnie.

Self contained cabin set well back from the main road. Very quiet with lots of wildlife. Clean separate cabin, fully equipped for a family of 4 to stay long term. Beach a short walk and a heated private pool an even shorter walk away. You can easily see the small penguins from the walkway at the top of the beach as night falls. Wallabys visit the rear of the park at night and are easily observed. Large school oval next door.

Everything. The apartment was furnished with everything we may have needed, such as fridge, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, coffee plunger, ample crockery, cutlery, condiments etc, as well as a few extra luxuries like a bowl of chocolates and a decanter of lovely port. The bed was wonderful and luxuriously comfortable. Breakfasts were very well catered for, including 4 choices of cereal, fresh milk, a loaf of sliced whole meal bread, butter and a selection of spreads.

Jones on Wilson is an extremely luxurious B&B which I can highly recommend for your next stay in Burnie. It has the most wonderful decor, rain shower, soft comfy bed, kitchen facilities, and is close to the main road in and out of Burnie, plus there was no noise from the other two units which had people staying. There is on site parking, and the attention to detail is just amazing. Well done Jones on Wilson, I would recommend your B&B accom to anyone!
