Beautiful location, and very convenient to the Valley of the Temples (20 minute walk); lovely and very well maintained property set among olive groves, with views down to the Temples (some rooms, but not all, can see a couple of them), really great breakfast. very nice staff. There are a few cats around but they were quiet and not annoying at all.

A recently renovated property, Le Antiche Porte is set in Palermo near Fontana Pretoria, Palermo Cathedral and Via Maqueda. A wonderful historic but fully updated apartment with balcony. Very comfortable, best bed we’ve slept in over 2 weeks traveling. There was street parking but the owner permitted our car for the ZTL zone and it stayed put for 2 days while we enjoyed walking the harbour and vibrant historic centre. So many beautiful churches to see, street entertainers singing their hearts out, and plenty for shoppers too.
