I was initially looking for places to stay in Lucerne, but ended up finding Elisabeth and Felix’s place in Emmetten and I am so thankful we did! Lucerne is a bustling beautiful city, but Emmetten, just 15 min car ride away is a small, quaint mountain without the crowds and with incredible views of the lake (in my opinion even better than Lucerne). We only were only able to stay two nights, but wish we could have stayed many more to try more hikes and mountain biking. It was very easy for us to do a day trip into Lucerne on our way out do town. You also must try Susi’s pizza- just a 5 min walk away. The place was impeccably clean and Elizabeth and Felix were prompt and dependable hosts. We traveled with our 18 month old son and had no issues. Honestly if you want to see Lucerne but stay somewhere more affordable with better views, this is the place!

The apartment is fully furnished and equipped with whatever a big family might need. Set in Emmetten and only 29 km from Lucerne Station, Mountain peace in the heart of Switzerland offers accommodation with lake views, free WiFi and free private parking. The views from the two patios are incredible. The location is so serene and quiet. Nothing spells vacation to me more than a slow breakfast outside. Flo and Svetlana were lovely, and they accommodated our delayed arrival. Comfy beds, slept like babies. And Thomas the cat!
