Access to the upper floors is only by stairs. We were lucky that our apartment was on the 1st floor. The kitchen is well equipped. Bonus were enough coffee capsules, tea bags, some bruschetta, chips, peanuts. We didn't use it. There were even bags of ice cubes in the freezer.

Beautiful spacious apartment with 2 bedrooms and huge living room connected with kitchen. Decorated in very simple nice hygge style, great place to relax after walks in the surroundings. Close to a lot of hiking trails,you can choose from variety of difficulties and lengths. We were just expecting more wine cellars on the way that we selected :)

The apartment was located on the main street of Dürnstein. Given it was low season it was very calm. I can imagine the town gets very busy during spring/summer. The apartment was comfortable for 4 people and check-in and check-out was very smooth. Clean, spacious, good deal. To shower in the second bathroom is difficult but doable.

We had a very pleasant three-night stay--couldn't ask for better. The rooms are new and well thought out and designed. The location is an easy walk from the old town of Durnstein so you can get away from the busyness of the old town. If you're arriving by train, the station is right around the corner but the trains are quiet. Breakfast was excellent and prepared and served by Theresa, the owner. Theresa knows how to take care of guests. She answered any questions we had and made excellent recommendations for restaurants.
