We liked everything! Very spacious, clean, well equipped, comfortable. The owner even provided some buns, coffee pods, ground coffee, tea, vinegar, olive oil, jam. The swimming pool was lovely and the ocean pool was gorgeous! The accommodations were perfect!!

I rated the apartment with the highest scores because it matched my expectations based on the description, price, photos, and reviews of the previous guests here on Booking. What stands out: the friendly, kind and attentive owner, Rui, helps you with organising your stay (rental car, leisure activities and similar) if you'd like to, and he will make sure to be available and respond to your questions and needs during your stay; the apartment is excellent value for money; it has a perfect strategic location to visit any part of the island if you have a car; this is subjective, of course, but in my view, Vila Franca do Campo is one of the best choices in terms of locations on São Miguel even if you don't have a car or if you travel solo; the apartment has all the amenities you might need even during a more extended stay; it has comfortable beds; supermarkets and shops are nearby; within 10-15 minutes walking distance you have a lovely beach with fine sand and shallow enough water, the marina (where you can book and start different activities from (take a short ferry ride to the islet, diving, snorkelling, whale watching, etc.), have authentic queijadas for breakfast at "Queijadas do Morgado" and eat delicious seafood or meat dishes at one of the best restaurants of the island with the most lovely views to the ocean from its balcony, "Atlântico Azorean Restaurant" .

The property is well located in the middle of the south part of an island, allowing you to ride either to the west or east coast. It’s close to the highway, but in a good sense - it’s just a few minutes to get to the main road, saves travel time. To add on the location, it’s on the outskirts of a small but nice town where you can walk and taste some local goodies (bolos, queijadas). We personally liked the property for having a separate room and separate bathroom, separate patio to have our meals at - this way you don’t interfere with other guests. Supermarket (Pingo Doce) is really close by. The property’s kitchen is stacked up with any item you possibly need to cook a decent meal. And of course the host was amazing and helpful. Thanks Vânia!
