The staff are awesome, food is great, pool is wonderful, location is amazing! Crib was provided. Our pool was open late so we could always swim and our friends pool at a different hotel closed at 8 which is awful after a long day in the sun! We miss the staff already. Zorbas around the corner is also awesome! We could hear some noise at night from the kids playing out late (our toddler joined in until 11:30pm a couple nights) but white noise took care of it for us and our room was directly next to the kitchen/bar area.

I stayed for 1 night as a stopover on the way to another part of Crete, and I can easily imagine staying longer. The accommodation is very comfortable, interiors are moderm and spotlessly clean. Rooms are private, you don't hear your neighbors and balconies are set apart from each other. Mine was facing the garden and it was an absolutely great spot for a morning coffee. The owners also run a supermarket in adjacent property where you can get good coffee, fresh juice and pastries for breakfast.
The pool area is relaxing with plenty of loungers, and the pool itself is clean and fairly deep (1.85m), great for a swim. You can also rent beach & pool towels if you don't have your own (room towels are understandably for indoor use only).
Great communication with owners prior to arrival, they are very responsive and I received all instructions on time. Parking is very easy - behind the hotel in a secured area (gate), staff will give you directions. On checkout I left my luggage at the stairs and brought the car to the front gate to load the bags, meanwhile they were already waiting for me outside thanks to the attentive owner :)
Downtown Malia is a bit noisy but Dimamiel is located away from bars and clubs, yet within a short walking distance, and there is a nice restaurant right across the road (Sofra). Overall this place is a great choice and I'll definitely be back.

A clean, well maintained hotel retained the atmosphere of a real Greece. The owners' family personally takes care of the comfort of guests. Enough space and privacy. The "mini-kitchen" with a little improvisation allows you to prepare a big dinner for 8 people. There are excellent restaurants in the area. The beach is 10 minutes on foot or by car - the most beautiful is the east direction at the archaeological place.
The host, Katerina and the lady at the reception are simply fabulous. They are very friendly and kind. The location is perfect if you are in Malia for parties and so on. Moreover, the beach isn't that far (10 minutes by walk). The bus stop to go to Heraklion airport is 7 minutes walk. Lots of restaurants, cafes, bars around. It is along the famous strip of Malia. The old town is nearby as well. The size of the room is great. Cleanliness at the property is good too. There is small kitchen in the room!

Breakfast was fine,informal and enjoyable with a beautiful view of the local agriculture.Maria the manageress spoke very good english and was incredibly hospitable,a genuine cretan lady who took all her responsibilities with genuine good humoured concern.This place is great and it's a pity the Athenian absentee owners don't realise self catering does not mean an electric kettle.The pool is perfect for catching the sun,chilling out and just being mellow.
Excellent hotel in a strategic location close to the bus stop and the centre of Malia with restaurants and supermarket. The room is spacious, cosy and clean with a comfortable bed, balcony and kitchenette. I stayed at the hotel for a week and extended my stay for another fortnight because I liked everything so much. Many thanks to Katerina for her active help and quick response to all my requests. Everything was perfect!
Nice house with three (!) outdoor seating areas. Very clean , comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen and bathroom. The house is located in a quiet area, yet it is still very close to the centre of Malia. The hostess was very friendly and helpful.
Very nice location, everything was wonderful!! The beach just 10 meters from hotel marvelous view with mountains and other restaurants just 10 minutes walk! Rooms were very clean staff very kind and friendly!! Even if there is no breakfast they have bar and kitchen just outside, you don't even have to go somewhere else. Everything was so perfect. No more words. Definitely coming back here soon!
We had room 122, that was recently renovated and offered a lovely spacious room with good airco and a very beautiful bathroom that was absolutely fantastic! Great shower! Kitchen well provided for greek standard! Really lovely place!
Located along the SANDbeach but very close to the busy nice mainroad with shops and tavernas. Super friendly staff from kitchen to cleaning ladies. Rooms were very clean. Any question for help was directly solved. In advance you get 2 private tel. No,s in case you need some help. Rich breakfastbuffet.
