Excellent location - close to where we were meeting other family for a 90th birthday celebration. Everything was very easy and the accommodation was clean, warm and exactly what we needed. Thank you for providing tea, coffee, milk and biscuits - much appreciated. It was nice to meet our host and to chat about the area. Definitely on our list now if we are back up in Whitby although for a slightly longer stay we would probably book one of the other one bedroom cottages just so we had armchairs snd more kitchen facilities.

The seagulls outside were very noisy, we heard a bit of noise from the Irish pub opposite on the first night but that was it and the stairs to the apartment were narrow and steep. - This was all in the description of the property on booking.com and I liked the honesty in this description.
Everything was perfect. Sophie and Phil worked extremely hard to ensure are needs were met. The accommodation was exceptionally clean, comfortable and the décor was fabulous, a credit to them both. The kitchen was not short of anything for a comfortable self-catering stay, they even had a large bike storage area in the hallway. We would not hesitate to stay again.
The apartment was brilliantly located 100 yds from the famous whalebone and right on the seafront. Considering it was a basement flat, it still felt light and airy. It was modern with comfy seating and had a kitchen with everything you could want for self catering. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom had a lovely shower. A nice touch was that the bathroom was kept warm (needed even in July this year!) so towels were always dried. All in all, the owners had made it a little like home from home!

Beautiful garden, lovely shared spaces and great Cafe. Well set up shared kitchen for self catering. Room itself basic but clean and comfortable.
This was a self catering accommodation and provided a well equipped kitchen, a comfortable lounge/dining area with amazing views of the Esk valley. We had a choice of three lovely bedrooms, each with access to excellent shower/toilet facilities. The whole house was well maintained, tastefully decorated and cosy.
The location was on the outskirts of Whitby with access to country footpaths providing a scenic route to Whitby town, the surrounding countryside and nearby coast, - which was excellent for us as we were on a walking holiday!
The self catering kitchens were big,but the frying pans were very old and worn.
Also there was not a box of condiments/food(oil,salt,pepperetc)that we could add to and use,as in all the other YHA hostels I’ve used!Please add a Help yourself Box!
It’s a lovely old property in a good location of Whitby. The size was deceiving. It was very large and spacious. The kitchen had everything you needed if you wanted to do some self catering. The rooms were clean and the decor suited the property. The bathroom had an amazing shower !!
A good space to stay in, location good if a little uphill. Not really set up for self-catering though as kitchen lacking a range of pans etc- also no bread knife - but ample plates, mugs etc if all you want to do is sort breakfast before going out for the day.
