Cozy apartment with more than enough space for the two of us. Apartment is located a few minutes walk from the waterfront and center of town. The washer and dryer unit were very helpful as it was in the middle of our 10 day trip.

This is a wonderful place! The room was spotless, the kitchen area was great and the location is fabulous - a 10 minute walk to town. There are outlets by the bed which was appreciated. The space is not huge, but was perfect for us since we just used it to shower and sleep.

We enjoyed the seclusion of this property. The chalet was perfect and clean with extras such as fresh hens eggs, homemade jam, homemade pastries, milk, coffee, and tea. Karen provides a surprise for those who stay for at least four nights! Karen and John encouraged us to get out and about on their property including interacting with the days old lamb, petting the pigs, and collecting hens eggs. My husband, nicknamed Anchor Man by Karen, took him with her on the quad to check on the sheep before sunset. It was lambing season and the ewes and lambs were checked on throughout the day. They took us on a tour of their property and up to the top of the hill for awesome views. Karen and John were always available to answer questions about their work and about the area. Our four days there went too quickly! We plan to return!
May your anchors always hold fast and your boomerangs return to ye.

The location of the apartment was absolutely phenomenal! The apartment was a great home base for hiking and all our Isle of Skye adventures letting us stay closer to hikes and nature without being too far away from restaurants and a grocery store. The apartment was beautifully stocked for our arrival and we definitely made use of the warm loaf of bread, cereal, milk, and OJ left for us. Having a small stovetop and oven made it easy to be self sufficient making hot breakfasts and enabling us to easily pack lunches.

The views, the caravan that had everything we needed with all the little touches, very cozy, well-equipped, and perfect for a short stay - with friendly hosts who make you feel at home. Warm hospitality and a perfect stay.

We stayed in April (we're not very good at getting round to writing reviews!) and still have lovely memories. Great location, peaceful and scenic, beautifully and luxuriously decorated, thoughtful extras, super clean, very comfortable bed, kitchenette really handy, hosts very helpful and great to chat to. Overall we felt very welcome and comfortable and would happily stay again.

Wonderful self catering accommodation. Greeted by hosts on arrival. Property has beautiful views across the Loch. Good location for visiting the main sites on Skye and not far from main town of Portree.
There was jams and milk and musli as a gift in the kitchen for us . The cabin was excellent in every way clean relaxing and very comfortable. You could not ask for anymore with this cabin and the views from the decking area were fantastic
Everything!
Beautiful place, comfy beds, small kitchen with pots and pans, bread and eggs bought for us that day and more options in case you didn't have enough time to go through the market.

Place is very nice, well accommodated, kitchen, bedroom, nice bathroom. We appreciated welcome basket with food. Surroundings around the house - calm, nice lake with seals
The self catering apartment was lovely. The kitchen was well supplied with everything that we needed. The beds were comfortable. There was ample space for four people. The location was perfect for touring Isle of Skye. Thank you for a wonderful visit!!
beautiful location on the loch. Peaceful, relaxing and with a great view across the water to the snow covered mountains - whilst lying in bed! There were a couple of horses in the field and sheep and cows nearby, adding to the rural ambience. The property was very clean and comfortable and the small kitchen made self-catering easy. Mary had also provided some delicious cakes for us to enjoy, bonus!
