A fabulous location, just by Gyllynvase Beach, but also within walking distance of the centre of Falmouth (NB. Falmouth is hilly)
The house was large, in excellent condition with all the facilities you might need for a self-catering holiday.
We didn't meet the hosts, however we messaged each other and they were very helpful and quick to respond to requests.
Self-catering accommodation gives you the freedom and privacy that’s needed to enjoy a well-earned break. From modern apartments and luxury villas to beach huts and eco-lodges, the options are seemingly endless. Cook in your kitchen, read in the garden, or chill on the sofa and watch TV – however you choose to spend time, you’ll feel right at home.
Initial impressions were how much care had been taken to make this property attractive, interesting, cosy and comfortable. Colour scheme reflected the view over Summers Beach. Quirky artwork was everywhere - so much to enjoy and admire. 2 very comfortable settees to sink into in the evenings after strenuous days of hiking the SW coastal path. We've stayed in many self catering properties over the years and Summers Beach View is the absolute best ever.
The room was large and comfortable, meals were good and service good also. We did have the extractor fan from the kitchen making quite a noise up until about 9pm which wasn't so nice. We were in room No1.
The location of the pub was good for parking and the quay and beaches etc.
What an absolute gem here in St Mawes. Excellent location to walk down into the village, around 10 minutes. Some fab coastal walks on your doorstep. The property was so cosy and welcoming! Some lovely Cornish goodies on arrival. The kitchen was so well equipped, we cooked nearly every night as it was enjoyable. The wood burner makes this even more cosy. The utility was such a useful space as coming in from cold and muddy walks or wet swim wear meant it was easy to sort kit out. All of the decor was lovely and bedrooms well equipped and cosy.
wonderful location with views up the river estuary, and close enough to town to walk , beautiful decor and very comfortable, and all appliances in kitchen and utility easy to use. Beautiful walks straight from the door. It even made nights in cooking pleasurable!
The staff most certainly make this hotel which is a perfect example of coastal faded elegance. Louise on the front desk was the reason we stayed (after having our cottage pulled from us the night before we left) and she continued to make our stay very special indeed. Everyone from the bar to kitchen to the chamber maids were delightful.
Location is excellent, our balcony of room 115 went right out onto the harbour.
Excellent apartment. Extremely comfortable and clean. The kitchen was well stocked and everything was in working order. There were clear instructions in the apartment re: heating, access to the laundry room and where to put the rubbish. The bed was very comfortable and even though we were next to the harbour, it was incredibly quiet.
