The hotel staff were very kind and accommodating. They allowed us to check in early on our first day and leave late on our last day which meant we were able to make the most of our 5 day stay. The view of the beach was phenomenally good. The rooms were comfortable, spacious and nicely furnished and they had left a welcome basket of Jersey delicacies for us to enjoy. They were very friendly and went out of their way to make our Christmas break feel special! The kids particularly enjoyed the pool table downstairs and the easy access to the beach.

For wildlife fanatics, this is a magical experience. You can wake up to the sounds of Howler monkeys or even Flamingos with a dawn chorus, you then have unlimited time within the wildlife conservation park to enjoy seeing animals, birds and reptiles that without the help of parks like these could become extinct. While we were here, there were six talks daily, including the Orangutans, where the programme was explained in detail with enthusiasm by their individual keepers. The clamping experience is one I should like to repeat, the tents are large, with a double bed for couples, and for families, there were sites with a teapea for kids as well. They have a woodburning fire for the cooler months, which quickly warms up the tent whilst you prepare your evening meal in your individual kitchen. Each tent has its own separate shower and toilet, making the whole experience a lot different from what I remember camping as from childhood.
For a different experience, I would highly recommend it.

Great location for access to the buses (couldn't be better) and food shops just a few minutes walk away. Kitchen sufficiently well-equipped; washing machine (plus dryer) very useful.

We had a two-room appartment with front view to the sea above the restaurant.
- A perfect scenic view to the lighthouse.
- Enough space for two, acceptable with a kid.
- Little kitchen to prepare something
- All very clean and refurbished.
- You don't hear the restaurant, although it's very busy.
- Plenty of space to park the car
- Very friendly welcome of the dedicated service assistant
- The area around is simply perfect with quit nature and plenty of ways to walk around.
- Perfect connection with the bus to St. Helier around every hour.
Self-catering accommodation gives you the freedom and privacy that’s needed to enjoy a well-earned break. From modern apartments and luxury villas to beach huts and eco-lodges, the options are seemingly endless. Cook in your kitchen, read in the garden, or chill on the sofa and watch TV – however you choose to spend time, you’ll feel right at home.
All the staff we met were so nice, very helpful and polite. The location of the hotel was ideal, right across the road from the beach and just a short walk to the pubs and restaurants. I am coeliac, this wasn't a problem as the chef and kitchen staff provided the best gluten free breakfast.
Hotel La Place is a beautiful place - we stayed in one of the cottages which was perfect - one downstairs bedroom with bathroom for my elderly Dad - beautiful beds - great kitchen and beautifully clean
We stayed in the two bedroom cottage and had absolutely no complaints. It was clean, modern with everything you need for a self catering break.
Staff were friendly and accommodating, with the free airport transfer an added bonus.
Easy transport links around the island as well, with a bus stop 50 yards from the property.
We will return.
Well equipped with everything you need for a self catering stay, clean and comfortable. Excellent location with lots nearby and easy access to island bus routes including to and from the airport.
Great views and location. We stayed in the self catering apartment which was spacious and nicely laid out. Staff were attentive and welcoming. We enjoyed the pool cocktails and the heated pool.
Super clean, spacious and comfortable suite for 2-people. Bed was very comfortable and good quality bedding. Kitchenette was well-stocked for light cooking. Large bathroom with shower and instant hot water. The suite overlooked the lush gardens and access was just next to the suite. Porthole Suites is positioned very close to St.Aubin centre - although up a steep hill! - making it easy to walk down to the small supermarket, cafes and restaurants.
The self-catering cottage was extremely spacious and comfortable, with lots of natural light. The outdoor area was private, with plenty of seating.
The kitchen was fully kitted out with complimentary milk, coffee, tea, kitchen towel, dishwasher tablets, etc, which meant we needed to buy very few items.
Good location , ten minutes walk from St Aubin. Parking on site , in summer use of outdoor facilities would be possible. Didnt use the hotel for breakfast as self catering. Kitchen well supplied and nice welcome pack left.
