The self check in instructions were very clear. You do not really have to talk to anyone if you don't want to. There is no interference from the owner who lives next door. He actually gave me a ride to the airport so I could collect my hire car. Great guy, Great house. Loved it.

Ravenscliffe Lodge, hotel in Port Erin

Just a 12-minute walk from Douglas Beach and one mile from Gaiety Theatre, Ravenscliffe Lodge features accommodations in Douglas with barbecue facilities.

A beautiful, spacious and comfortable lodge in an amazing position overlooking Douglas Bay. Watching the ferries coming in and out of port was fantastic as we were so close. David and Elaine had thought of everything to make our stay so enjoyable. The place was spotless and very well equipped. True to say that it is a bit of a climb to get to the lodge but more of a slope than a hill and there are steps you can use. All in all a great place to stay and within walking distance of restaurants and shops. We didn't want to leave.

Rivendell had all the charm and coziness of a traditional cottage, but also provided a sleek modern bathroom and well equipped kitchen. There were many thoughtful little extras throughout. Christina, our host, was very friendly and helpful, having left numerous valuable and informative notes about how various things worked. She was also quickly responsive with our questions, such as connecting to the internet. We truly enjoyed our comfortable stay here and exploring the Isle of Man.

Well equipped apartment across the road from main hotel. Large car park outside. Modern furnishings, fully equipped kitchen inc washing machine full cooker microwave. Good bathroom with large shower. Didn't actually use main hotel so can't comment on that. Location close to beach, which is clean and safe. Shops nearby, heritage steam railway very close.

We have stayed in another apartment in this building and this one was on the top floor. It was smaller than the other one but had modern furniture and lighting. The kitchen and bathroom was the same as the other apartment. We loved this apartment as it was so quiet with a great view over the bay. As with the other apartment they are excellent in décor and facilities. The lift is a added bonus particularly for floors above ground level.

Location was excellent, short walk into town. Even shorter walk to the beachside bar across the road. View from the kitchen, overlooking the bay is stunning.
