Sharron was very friendly and helpful and offered good suggestions for local restaurants and things to visit in the area. The propertly was in a great location for us to visit the local attractions. An easy walk into town and a safe and quiet place to stay.

Richard and Cathy were very welcoming hosts. They greeted us and provided a great folder with local activities, places to eat and advice. The accommodation was in a quiet location but still close to the town and had breathtaking countryside views. Every room was cleaned thoroughly, especially the bathroom and bedroom. The kitchen was well equipped and they kindly left us a sweet treat. The family definitely exceeded our expectations and we hope to visit again!

It was self catering and facilities were good. The cottage was quaint and lovely. Handy for eating places and shopping. Wee outdoor table was lovely as the weather was good.
The kitchen was well appointed for cooking, lovely garden seating area, comfy bed, luxurious bathroom, peaceful location but close to 2 nice bars just up the road (downhill on the way back was a bonus)

Fantastic and remote location, the barn was beautifully modern with a rustic feel. We enjoyed the private hot tub, with spectacular views of the wooded areas and hills. The kitchen was fully equipped for self catering, and the barn and the hot tub was already heated upon arrival. We slept really well and the owner specifically added additional pillows as requested.
Key box was located right beside the front door. Overall, we had a fantastic stay in Gate Cottage. The location was excellent and very central. The kitchen had everything necessary for self catering, the beds were very comfortable and large. The entire apartment was very clean and there were bits and bobs in the kitchen for cooking. Always helpful!

The beds were really comfortable and the bed linen smelt lovely and fresh.
The cottage was really quaint and the decor was lovely and done to a really high standard. The only fault we could possibly find was that the lounge was a bit chilly sometimes. We enjoyed lighting the log burner in the evening, complimentary logs were supplied by the host.
We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this cottage to anyone.
Self catering accomodation Located right on the main street of Matlock Bath. Very clean and new-looking apartment with lovely fresh white cotton bed linen and comfy bed. Kitchen cooking utensils supplied were minimal but perfectly adequate which we liked because we felt it was easier to clean between guest changeovers, especially during the pandemic.
Nice to have dishwasher though. Basically it was all exactly as advertised.
