We didn’t know what to expect when we arrived but were blown away at the size, cleanliness and how well it was stocked. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space for all 4 of us.

We enjoyed the seclusion of this property. The chalet was perfect and clean with extras such as fresh hens eggs, homemade jam, homemade pastries, milk, coffee, and tea. Karen provides a surprise for those who stay for at least four nights! Karen and John encouraged us to get out and about on their property including interacting with the days old lamb, petting the pigs, and collecting hens eggs. My husband, nicknamed Anchor Man by Karen, took him with her on the quad to check on the sheep before sunset. It was lambing season and the ewes and lambs were checked on throughout the day. They took us on a tour of their property and up to the top of the hill for awesome views. Karen and John were always available to answer questions about their work and about the area. Our four days there went too quickly! We plan to return!
May your anchors always hold fast and your boomerangs return to ye.

Beautiful hotel, very classy and comfortable, lovely staff. We didn't realize that the kitchen would be closed on Monday until we got the reminder of visit email a couple days before and we ended up not being able to enjoy dinner here however the receptionist was helpful in finding us an alternative solution and we really ended up enjoying our takeaway in the guest lounge. I just wish we could have tried the kitchen food for dinner because the breakfast was delicious!

The location of the apartment was absolutely phenomenal! The apartment was a great home base for hiking and all our Isle of Skye adventures letting us stay closer to hikes and nature without being too far away from restaurants and a grocery store. The apartment was beautifully stocked for our arrival and we definitely made use of the warm loaf of bread, cereal, milk, and OJ left for us. Having a small stovetop and oven made it easy to be self sufficient making hot breakfasts and enabling us to easily pack lunches.

Self-catering accommodations promise the freedom and privacy necessary for a well-earned break. From modern apartments and luxury villas, to beach huts and eco-lodges, the options are seemingly endless. Whether cooking in your kitchen, reading in the garden, or kicking back in front of the TV – you’ll feel right at home.
The Owl's Nest is uncharacteristically large for Scotland. You have tons of space to breath and move around. It has all the amenities you could need (washer, dryer, dishwasher, wood fireplace, kitchen, quality TV, separate shower and tub). The bed is comfy, and the location is so quiet and tranquil.
There's a small river that runs next to the washroom so you can crack a window and zen out to the sound of running water while you have a bath.
The hosts are also both so friendly and accommodating.
Absolutely loved our stay.
The property is very well appointed with two toilets, a comfortable bed, fully fitted kitchen and a washing machine and tumble dryer. The property looks onto a garden which leads into a forested area. It is very quiet and peaceful. The decor is very attractive.
The apartment is bigger than the photos make it look, Lots of room to spread out and relaxing with a nice warm fire in the evenings. The kitchen has a selection of pans and utensils to knock up and easy meal. Its very warm an cosy, the bath was also a nice relaxing highlight. The raised bed stays nice and warm all night and its very comfy. The hosts are well organised and give good tips on local places to eat and shop.
Spacious, modern, comfortable, warm, lots of parking, private, quiet, and great kitchen, bathrooms and laundry facilities. The bed was very comfortable. It was lovely being able to walk around the acres of private woodland, listen to the birds, and look out onto the green trees. The inn was only a couple of minutes' walk for drinks and dining. Handy, central location for driving to the Neist Point lighthouse, Queraing, Old Man of Storr, and Portree. Phil and Karen were great hosts.
No breakfast. It was self catering.Everything was of the highest quality. Very comfortable bed and sitting area. Amazing tv! Washing machine… a Godsend.
Karen and Phil are wonderful hosts. The place was spotless and had quality appliances. Beautiful kitchen, very comfortable bed. A cozy little garden in front of the entrance and a very friendly and adorable dog.
Micheline awarded chef in the kitchen is impressive with his dinner tasting menus. Breakfast was exclusive as well. You can choose from a variety of starters and mains for breakfast which is an excellent idea. We loved it all – tidy and cozy rooms, beautifully furnished common rooms, and the best food. The Lodge itself is a well-reconstructed historical building. Very romantic. And I mustn't forget to appreciate the very high quality and professionality of the staff.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The apartment was very modern and clean. The bed was extremely comfy and the kitchen was well equipped. The owners were really friendly and the location was great as a base to see differnt parts of the island.
