The staff member greeting us was very welcoming. The room was spacious and comfortable, with everything needed for our night there (it even had some very cute make up removal towels!).

Squirrel Barn is a fun and eccentric place which genuinely caters to the whole family (and more!). It is a beautiful old building filled with anything and everything you could think of, with wonderful little touches and a really warm feeling. We were in the area to visit Alton Towers and to be honest we had just as much fun at Squirrel Barn! The owners are fantastic - friendly, accommodating and excellent at contact. I missed that on booking the self-catering apartment there was no breakfast, but that could be had 10 minutes down the road at the Flour & Co. restaurant, very nice food there. Lovely flat, very comfortable bed, quiet, hot shower. All in all perfect! Wonderful hosts.
Beautiful apartment, ideally placed in the village for the many pubs, restaurants and shops. Quirky, old building, clean with everything you need. Comfy beds and plenty kitchen supplies.
