48 rosewood, hotel in East Cowes

Offering a garden and sea view, 48 rosewood is set in Porchfield, 24 km from Blackgang Chine and 7.3 km from Carisbrooke Castle.

This last minute trip was our first time in a caravan, the experience far surpassed our expectations. The location was perfect ,a brief walk to the beach and a short drive to the shops and restaurants on the island. The rosewood had everything you need, the settee and beds were comfortable and even though it was winter the caravan was warm and cosy. The owners had thought of everything and the double shower in the bathroom was an added bonus.

The property was in a great location near to the ferry port. Off street parking was great to have as it’s been a problem on previous visits at other properties. The house was clean, very comfortable and had a fully equipped kitchen. The garden looked great too but it wasn’t the best time of year to make use of this.

Amazing to be able to stay on a proper ship / yacht. We met the owner and the workmanship put in to restore it is extraordinary. We loved sitting on the deck and the kitchen area with boats going by and when it got dark retreating to the downstairs lounge area. A real treat to spend the night in a boat.

Fab-u-lous hotel, steeped in history. Super friendly staff - kitchen closed on Sunday evenings but they still rustled up a large helping of delicious crumble.

The accommodation was self catering but, as usual, Rachael and Andy went out of their way to make their guests welcome. The box of breakfast goods was lovely and the fresh flowers on the table on arrival made our stay like a home from home.

Lovely and well equipped accommodation. Kitchen held a dishwasher and washing machine as well as microwave, oven, fridge, induction hob and coffee machine. Parking. Well thought out seating and dining areas. Lovely bathroom and very comfortable bedroom. Close to Osborne house and easy access to other routes across the Island. Rachael had provided a very comprehensive welcome pack which fed us for most of our five day stay. Well stocked with information about places of interest. Rural, lovely views.
