The whole atmosphere and how the cottage looked, very much within the style of the countryside. Warm, welcoming, well equipped (particularly the kitchen - the juicer was something else!). The kitchen was the heart and soul of the place, with the range giving off enough heat to warm up the whole cottage with zero effort from the guests. The bedroom was furnished to perfection with Narnia-style wardrobe and a comfy bed. We wish we stayed there longer! The staircase, even though causing some issues for me as I have some mobility problems, looked amazing - way up to the bedroom, down to the kitchen.
Breakfast was a very nice touch.

Very good staff I also have very sensitive stomach and every meal was cooked perfectly and I had no stomach issues with my condition this means very clean high standards kitchen
A lovely big flat, really well appointed with everything you could possibly need. Huge kitchen with lots of gadgets. Three good sized bedrooms all with comfy beds. Parking on site and just minutes from a Lidl, Greggs and takeaways - but cooking in that big kitchen was great. Dishwasher provided and washing machine and tumble dryer too. Fabulous location for access. Great walking from the doorstep out to the canals. Very happy to recommend.
It was a peaceful area, the view was very pretty, the house was spotlessly clean, and the owners were incredibly friendly. They made my stay very pleasant. I was able to use their kitchen and terrace and had a private bathroom. What I appreciated very much was the swift and friendly communication of the owner before my arrival and during my stay!
Phil the host was very welcoming when we got to the accommodation. 2 spacious bedrooms with double beds and ensuite rain shower, lovely spacious lounge and kitchenette. He'd kindly provided essentials like bread, butter and jam also. It was a really lovely base whilst we explored Chatsworth House and surrounding area.
Staff at the property were so orofessional and welcoming and attentive , especially the cleaners and breakfast waiting and kitchen staff, brilliant service
The location was lovely, very rural but not too far from local amenities.
The kitchen had plenty of crockery, pans and glasses for our stay. plus the dining table and seating area is huge making it a very sociable.
Comfortable beds and toiletries were provided.
Recycling was easy to do.
Our welcome basket was lovely.
It was not bed and breakfast it was self catering - so this question does not apply. The kitchen was very well set up - short of nothing. And it all looked brand new.
