Everyone was so accommodating and kind and really, really friendly. Top quality, well kept cask ales. The kitchen were totally flexible to my food intolerances and Amanda even went out of her way to find bread that I can eat. The room was lovely, the en suite was spot on. Even the music in the bar was great. The hotel has parking. Breakfast was wonderful.

Location is absolutely perfect and has plenty of onsite parking which is a plus. Nearby coffee shops, tea rooms and pubs although as this place is off the main road, it's very quiet at night. Huge kitchen and living space. All rooms had a double bed so everyone was rested after long days hiking. Not to mention the hot tub at night for some star gazing!

The cottage was exceptionally clean and the kitchen well equipped. The lounge furniture was extremely comfortable, particularly the swivel chair which I claimed for the duration of our stay! The shower was powerful and the bed comfortable. The owners live next door and were very friendly and informative. The village has 7 pubs, all of which are dog friendly and we enjoyed them all. The walking opportunities in Castleton are fantastic and we were fortunate to have glorious weather. The best review I can give is that we intend to return
