Very clean, very comfortable and beautifully decorated
The location was excellent, just a short walk from main shopping areas. A NCP carpark was around the corner. The kitchen was sufficient for self catering, with a kettle, fridge, oven, microwave as well as a washing machine. But the freezer compartment was almost blocked with ice and needs defrosting. The WiFi was easy to set up om phones.

Phoenix Halls is a university halls of residence, so not a luxury hotel... But you get a decent room, with en suite shower room (functional, but fine), and access to a kitchen with oven etc. So, not luxury, but a well-priced option, with the facilities for (basic) self catering, and in central Brighton. Good, practical budget choice.
hi! It was self catering. the location was good , close to the beach ,shops, restaurants. Emily was friendly , approachable , eager to help . She provided a baby high chair and extra bathmats for 3 adults.
The lounge / open plan kitchen was spacious. The beds were most comfortable.
The property is central, close to all amenities, the lanes, the shops and the beach! it is beautifully decorated and well looked after with comfortable beds and a fully furnished kitchen with everything you could need for self catering. the security was excellent with three sets of door codes to get through to get in to the apartment.
The reception staff were friendly and very helpful. The rooms were clean and as described / photographed. The kitchens had all of the necessary materials for self-catering. Location was very convenient. Parking was secure, with plenty of spaces. £6.60 for 24 hours is excellent value in that location.
The property is for self-catering. Galley kitchen was modern and very clean with all utensils etc. Likewise, the bathroom which was shower only but modern and very efficient. Location is good with easy walking distance of Brighton's many amenities and attractions.
Great location for the centre of Brighton just a few minutes walk to the bus stop and a 10 mins bus ride into town. The flat was light and bright. And the bed was very comfortable. The kitchen area is great for self catering.
This is a relatively new Youth Hostel. They are still on a YHA learning curve. Staff really friendly . What they do currently lack is to offer self catering (ie a kitchen and fridge storage for guests) as Brighon is very, very expensive. The breakfasts were superb
