The cottage feels new and modern. Nice floor plan gives plenty of space. The bedroom and bath are on the same floor. A helpful binder is provided with local recommendations and instructions for the appliances. The location is quiet and very pleasant. We spent three nights and cooked in each night. Very convenient to the Lochnagar trail head.

House was extraordinarily cute with an amazing view. All the info was very easily laid out and the house was super clean. The wood stove was all set up for us upon arrival and worked very well. Hot tub was incredible after a long day of hiking in the Cairmgorns and was very easy to use singlehandedly. Kitchen was well stocked.

This was hands down one of the best self-catering apartments I have ever stayed at. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you needed to cook meals - not the usual one ruined non-stick pan that one might encounter. The hosts were thoughtful, communicative and the apartment was well organized, (there are manuals for the appliances - what joy!) cozy and comfortable. I wish my days hadn't been so packed so I could have enjoyed the space more! Great place to relax and great location for exploring. Thank you for creating a perfect space!

Location - great to be on edge of central part of town near to path networks, cleanliness- felt at home the minute we entered the apartment, kitchen space-well equipped and easy to work in when preparing home cooked food.
Great location, the view from the windows is just gorgeous. The hot tub (the reason for booking), even thought it’s shared it wasn’t a problem and was very welcome after a day out and about. Good quality one as well. Comfy bed, lovely bathroom and neat wee kitchen. What they are doing with the space/grounds is braw. Well done!!
from the outside a typical old Scottish stone house but inside completely modern equipped with underfloor heating, modern bathrooms and a great kitchen. In the garden a Hottube. This was absolutely great because the weather was nasty in our Ballater Week.
Stylish approach to hostel life, nice to have 'en-suite' facilities personal to the six beds in the dorm. Good kitchen and dining area, the TV on with the England game just a couple of minutes on the go was a bonus...and we won't mention Southgate's tactics...
Ballater is a small village in the National Park. There is great hiking just out your doorstep. Dominque is the receptionist and a wealth of info for hiking. Gave us several ideas with printed out maps she made. The kitchen living area is very warm and homey feeling. The kitchen is well stocked and includes tea, coffee, as well as condiments.
There is a coop grocery a few blocks away for getting food next to a green square. Everyone is so friendly
