Everything was there and lots of touches, a homemade red velvet cake, Cava in the fridge, a check in by the Host on the first evening but not intrusive. Clear instructions. Hot Tub all ready to go.

4 decent rooms, 2 bathrooms. All worked OK. Liked the proximity to walks, river, pubs, cafes, restauranmts of Matlock Bath. Also excellent bus and train links to nearby towns.

perfect everything we need for a quiet 2 days away
Location is great, lovey walks around and the gardens and surrounding are well kept. Self catering kitchen is nice and lots of seating place . Good value for money. Staff was friendly and helpful
The property was perfect for the two of us to spend a couple of weeks together and very cosy. We arrived to fine the place was cleaned to a high standard.
Only the main bedroom has a bed which was very comfortable, a second bedroom was perfect for working away from home as there was a chair and desk within.
The lounge has two 2-seater settees and the kitchen was larger than we expected with everything on hand for self-catering.
The bathroom was pristine too.
All in all End Cottage was perfect for us.
Beautiful property, stunning location in the Peak District, we stayed one night after visiting Alton Towers, was so relaxing and peaceful after the craziness of the day. We had a lovely evening meal the kids loved the pizza, there was also self catering kitchen if you wanted to bring your own food. Really loved friendly staff, helpful gave us some great ideas for walks so we could go to explore the next day, great location perfect for families, gorgeous views from our bedroom window. Really comfortable beds
We stayed in callow cottage and it was so lovely, roomy but still cozy for the 4 of us (2 adults and 2 children) The cottage came with a fully equipped kitchen which was great don’t have to pack all the extra bits for self-catering! lots of fresh towels for all 4 of us too! Beds where huge and comfortable! Loved the outdoor space included a children’s playground a big hit with my 5 & 3 year old and the fact there was a heated indoor pool was a bonus! The games room was also nice! Hope we can visit again soon!
it’s a wonderous place hidden in a valley away from it all, steeped in history, great breakfast, great barista coffee, great self catering kitchen, lots of board games, 2 large shared living areas and grounds to die for! we hiked over the mountains and down to the stepping stones as well as 50 mile bike ride perfection - we visited PEAK RELAXATION in 1 of the next villages and had a wonderful massage with afternoon cream tea. - the area is just blissful!
The cottage was absolutely amazing, so peaceful and tranquil! Did not want to leave, we were lucky to get some sunshine during our stay, the views were phenomenal. Loved the fact that it was self catering, all kitchen equipment was available- the whole ambience of the place just felt like home :) would defo visit again
The drive to Peak District National park was around 30 mins and Carsington Waters was a walkable distance.
the nearest town is Ashbourne, which has a little retail park for any necessities as well as an Aldi
location is great, lovely surroundings. They have a well equipped self-catering kitchen if you want to cook your own food or a menu if you prefer to order from them. Nice big halls to chill out and simple but comfortable rooms.
