Very clean and well equipped and tastefully decorated. Loved the prints hanging up in the main space of the local areas.
Unfortunately we could only stay 1 night of the two that we had booked and we arrived just as it got dark and when we booked out the next day it was misty so didn't get a good look at the surrounding area and the mountains. Lovely to have welcome welsh cakes and a bottle of Prosecco upon arrival.

We had a wonderful stay! The secure garden was a fantastic feature, and our dog absolutely loved exploring all the new scents. The kitchen was impressively well-equipped, with everything we could possibly need. Bevel Cottage is a gem. Very nicely furnished, comfortable beds. Towels, bed linen etc is such good quality. The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of cutlery and a nice crockery, not always the case. The hot tub was a hit with adults and kids. Alan met us & explained everything, when we had a query about the hot tub he called in.

Gilwern itself seemed friendly, fairly quiet in the evening but with a pub and small supermarket within very easy walking distance..There is easy access to the Heads of Valley road making it a great location for exploring the Brecon Beacons.

Superb peaceful location. Easy parking. Basics in the kitchen to get you settled in, tea, coffee, milk, sugar etc... The wall map is an excellent feature. Brilliant little pub in Tal y coed relatively around the corner, and not far into Abergavenny.
I loved my stay here. The rooms were cozy, comfortable, with nice touches like chocolates on the bed. The hot tub was lush and the nearby sitting area was very useful. The large kitchen had all the necessary utilities, plus some basic food supplies. The huge garden was perfect for sports. Also the beds were super comfortable! Overall, it was a fantastic experience.
