Be sure to visit Luisenhof, Dresden restaurant. Only 5-10 min walk from house. Amazing view. Walking down to river Elbe did not take long time. Lots of lots of stairs though.
Be sure to stay more than 1 night there.

The apartment was super clean - not a speck of dust anywhere.
The whole accommodation was very spacious and, as has been mentioned in other reviews, the photos really don't do it justice re space and facilities. It had everything you need for a long or short stay.
The large balcony was wonderful - very peaceful with loungers if you wanted to sunbathe.
The location is a bit out of town, but there's a path behind house that takes you to the area of Cotta where you can catch either a 1 or 12 tram, or 68 bus into the city centre. There is a bus stop 100 metres from the property, but it seems it only appears if you call ahead 20 minutes before, which we didn't know until we were waiting for the bus so a walk it was. The area is quite hilly, but the walk into Cotta from behind the property is much easier (it's basically flat until you reach the stairs) than walking through the neighbourhood.
Easy parking.
The host was on hand if needed, but not at all intrusive. Language was a barrier, but we had no problems, so no need to test that area ;-)

Beds were really confortable, room were spacious and having the bathroom in the room is really a bonus. Free towels and soap too. Perfect kitchen with everything you need et spacious enough to eat. Really price worthy.
A very nice apartment in the heart of Dresden. Good parking options. Superbly equipped kitchen. Good access via codes even outside the opening hours of the reception.
Everything was super. We arrived late at night and the receptionist helped us check in. The room was clean, well maintained. The beds were very comfortable. This was especially felt after a long drive. All kitchen appliances and utensils were available.
Everything is well organised and clean. Pretty close to oldtown (about 20 min walk). The past part is that they have a kitchen where you can use a fridge, microwave oven or oven (it's fully equipped). They also have this big lounge where you can stay the whole day after you check out.
Perfect location, cleanliness in the room, small kitchen, but you can find there all you need for self cooking. Would be my first choice if visiting Dresden again
The location of the apartment right opposite the famous Frauenkirche was fabulous. The apartment was well equipped and there was a supermarket very close by that made self catering easy. The living /kitchen area was spacious and comfortable.
A very spacious apartment, with a huge bedroom, entrance hall, kitchen/dining area and spacious bathroom, reflecting the grandeur of a different era. While this is a couple of kilometres or more from the centre of Dresden, it was easy to acccess the city centre by bus, and the walk from the station, though up a gentle slope, is manageable unless you have heavy luggage. As this is a self-catering arrangement, the Konsum store across the road is very convenient.
