The Rangoon Hotel is in a prime location in the centre of Yangon, and provides a terrace, free WiFi and a bar. Good hotel in good location. WiFi worked well. Breakfast was good. Excellent and friendly staff.

Victoria Cliff Hotel & Resort, Kawthaung features an outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre, a garden and private beach area in Kawthaung. Staff were incredible and very helpful. Views were amazing and beer was cheap

Situated in Nyaung Shwe, 15 km from Inle Lake, Sandalwood Hotel features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. This is a 25 rooms family hotel, managed by Nway Tun. As soon as you meet her in the reception you get the feeling that this is your new home and almost your new family. Nway and her staff will be there for you with a big smile 24/7. She is great in assisting with planning your local trips based of knowledge only local people have and connecting you with the best providers. She is there to understand what you need before you even say it. The hotel was renovated recently, after the September floods, rooms are comfortable and the breakfast served on the roof is very generous. Location is nearby the big pagoda the river and the location of all the festivals. It is very difficult to translate atmosphere to words so I will just say that if you want to have a unique experience this hotel is highly recommended.

Super friendly staff who were always willing to help. Good facilities, pool, gym, wide choice on the restaurant menu. Might be a bit tight if the hotel is running at capacity.

I read a lot of reviews when selecting hotels on booking.com but rarely do I provide a review myself. This is absolutely the place to stay in Yangon. The hotel is one of the most beautiful and well appointed hotels I’ve ever stayed in - it rivals beautiful 5 star hotels in London or New York but at a fraction of the price. But the real stand out is the staff - they made us feel safe, secure, always friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Myanmar has significant challenges with civil unrest and yet this hotel - amid great difficulty - stays open and provides an exceptional, safe and friendly experience. So many other large international hotels have shut - it’s a testament to the staff and owners this hotel remains open and running in such a professional way. Breakfast was delicious and we also had lunch and dinner at the hotel - all three I can recommend. I also tried the spa and had a Burma massage and it was great. We loved Yangon and we loved this hotel!

One of the best stays I've ever had in Asia. The amazing and helpful staff never hesitate to accommodate and deliver whatever you need, the spa was great, and the facilities were just as you wish them to be. The perfect stay if you ever find yourself in Yangon!
