First I will like to give a huge Thank You to the owner of Casa Marisa for his extreme kindness. Our luggage was missing when we flew to Fogo so we continued our trip to Brava and 4 days later when still in Brava the airport called saying they have our luggage, the owner of Casa Marisa was very kind to drive to Fogo airport to get our luggage whilst we were visiting Brava. When we got to Casa Marisa our luggage was there ready for our check-in.
Our visit at Casa Marisa was spectacular! It is set with the view of the volcano. We stayed 3 nights and had plenty of activities to do. We stayed in a bungalow and relaxed at the hammocks on the roof in the early evening taking in the views. The meals were delicious! Every staff member was very helpful and kind. I highly recommend staying here.

We loved staying here. Thank you so much for this beautiful time for our family. It is such a unique beautiful place to stay surrounded by a ring of mountains and at the foot of the massive volcano. There are so many beautiful hiking trails and places to explore and it is stunning to have the green grapes growing against the red and black lava rock. The stars at night are spectacular. The hosts, Cicilio and his family are so kind and helpful and the food was absolutely delicious. The location couldn’t be better and the rooms were clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend this property.

The best customer service! The host Lea was super helpful before we even got there. She answered all my questions very quickly and provided lots of information. They arranged the shuttle service for us as well as a guide to climb up the volcano. João himself is a guide and you can book him.
Obviously the location is perfect and you have a beautiful view of the volcano right from the room.
Make sure to eat at Isabella's next door, her food is delicious and she was such a warm and wonderful person. All in all it was a wonderful experience!

The place was very comfortable and with everything you need to enjoy some days and chill at the village of Chá das Caldeiras. The guided hike to climb the volcano was also great and a very complete experience overall.
Our host, José, was always very kind, helpful and friendly. I totally recommend this place for anyone who wants an authentic getaway to relax and enjoy a few days by the volcano.

Ze and Sonia were super nice, friendly and accommodating. They could speak French relatively well. The room is simple but functional. The meals prepared were very delicious. The WiFi was good to work from there, and in case, the 4G antenna is located nearby. Absolutely recommended!

This location and guest house is not about fluffy pillows nor spa facilities. It's for adventure, it's at the top of a volcano and has limited resources, though with that, the guest house team is VERY accommodating. Meals were delicious, books and games were provided to pass time in the quiet evenings. The surrounding community experience is WONDERFUL. Highly recommend.

Lovely little village. The locals are so nice. Please go eat at Isabel’s restaurant. Fresh and great food (if you are vegetarian owner can make you an amazing omelette with onion, green peppers and tomato and it includes on the side potatoes and pumpkin and carrots and rice) and the best part is that the owner is such a lovely person. If you get to know her even a little bit, you will love her. The volcano hike is a must!
