Macquarie 4 star was good for me as it was close to amenities, had a good vibe and my room was quite and looked out over the creek. It was nice to wake up and see all the paddlers and people enjoying the water. The staff was excellent too and helped me with my requests. I will definitely stay there again.

Warners Bay is located on beautiful Lake Macquarie and has all the amenities a traveller could need. Easy walking trails along the lakeside and plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants. Easy access to other areas of Newcastle and is a very pleasant place to stay.

Dirty room not cleaned to the required standard dirty towel from previous guest in the room hair and urine on bathroom floor hand prints on wall and shower glass
Bed pushed up against wall allowing access to one side only. Over all the room was dirty . the Noise was bad with other guest and children making noise well after 11pm at night should have families with children away from other guest with out noise children very poor management not helpfully at all owner was advised of issues but no response or no follow up from management or staff.

We stayed at Pippis on the Point (Speers Point) Lake Mac is amazing. We had lunch at the Warner's Bay Hotel. TIP: Try the Chilli Crab, The wife had Thai beef salad also nice! The Chilli crab was the best I've had in years.

An easy drive from Sydney, Warners Bay offers lots. The Lake area offers fishing and watercraft activities, the Esplanade is great for a picnic, bbq, bike/run etc...possibilities are endless. There are a lot if nice restaurants and shops to duck into as well. Over all, very family and dog friendly place.
Firstly the young girl at reception was exceptional. I was greeted by my name, she was very polite and very professional for a young adult. Please let her know as it is always great to receive compliments.
Our room #16 clean, bed comfy, Decor lovely.
We did get a wif of the sewer at times just outside our room and near the pool. Just wanted to point it out just in case the hotel has a blockage.
We will stay again , hoping for upstairs room next time.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating of a late check in. The hotel was advertised as check in time before 8:30 but due to work we didn't get in until 9:00 but they got us situated no problem.
Good location (close to Warners Bay village at the top of a very big hill), easy parking, fantastic room size. Good communicator. Comfortable with our old dog.
