A wonderful place with amazing people around. Not quite walkable and you need to be either very brave to sit on a scooter or constantly order taxis (get the official ones). But food is amazing, views are to die for and beaches are very cute. Lots of trendy places and nice restaurants to go to. Definitely do the temple and Kecak dance performance.

As everywhere the roads are narrow and busy. It was possible to walk or take a short motorbike ride to the local shops, restaurants, and there was a good variety of them around. Travelling a bit further, there were beaches to visit and places of interest but the joy for me was that the community was friendly and it was not a major tourist area.

Don't go there if your idea of a beach holiday is to sit on a beach chair under a sunshade with a drink and a book, and occasionally splash a bit in the water. There are many other beaches in Bali for that

Uluwatu was such a relaxing and vibrant area with so many different activities. Whether you're looking forward tranquility, beaches, temples, restaurants/bars or waves for surfing - you'll find it.
Such a great mix of things to do and Uluwatu will live you happy regardless of what you prefer to do on holiday.
A totally different vibe from other areas of Bali and I'd definitely recommend spending some time here if you have the chance.

Uluwatu should be on your itinerary when traveling to Bali! It is a lovely place with a good vibe and perfect for surfing. We stayed at Ikigai, which is a lovely small resort. There were a lot of good restaurants and shops in the area. We were now there for 3 full days. Next time we will stay longer so we can explore more places, like all the beaches and stuff.
Everything was absolutely amazing! This was the first place we stayed in Bali and we loved it! The facilities were great, clean pool and comfortable share areas. The room was the same as the pictures show, very spacious, comfortable, clean and the aircon worked perfectly. The staff were always there to help us in case we need anything, they were very polite! we also had the best breakfast in Bali here, the smoothie bowls were delicious. We want to thank all the staff for their service. We would 100% recommend Uluwatu Cottages.
I had a one-room tent villa with private pool. It was as comfortable as any hotel room but even more spacious, had AC for when the weather got too warm, and was fantastic for a few days of mental unplugging and relaxation. The property overall is very well-maintained and designed, and it was great that amenities like bicycles were available for guest's use. Wayan, the manager, is an excellent host, super hospitable and warm and helpful with any questions or requests. I'll definitely stay here again when I come to Bali!
Frederico and his staff were amazing hosts and the hotel has a chilled, rustic vibe which I loved. It's within walking distance of some very cool restaurants/bars and Single Fin Beach Club. Uluwatu surf break is close and Thomas Beach is literally across the road (but down some steep stairs). The staff organised a scooter which helped exploring all the other amazing Uluwatu beaches. There's also morning yoga and meditation classes and other chlliout zones around the property, thoroughly recommend 👌
Overall it was the best experience I have had in yet in Bali .The architecture of the villa and design features are stunning .Location was great for my wife ,friends and I. It’s walkable distance to Uluwatu Surf villas. The villa was exceptionally clean. The villa manager, Kadek was on it! She organize our late night airport transfer, rental bikes and she even booked us at home massages.
Would love to stay with this crew again and thanks for the wonderful experience!
Wira and all of the staff were exceptional hosts. They were very friendly and always willing to help or give suggestions. The villas, the pool, and the greenery were stunning. A little family of dogs lived around the property and were so cute and constantly made me smile. There were many delicious restaurants within walking distance or a short motorbike ride away. I will definitely return if/when I visit Bali again.
We've had the most incredible and warming stay in Uluwatu at Padang Padang. The location was amazing, the motobike service, the rooms are beautiful and spaciuos. Ayu and her family helped me and my 2 other friends in every way we needed it, they even arranged us tickets for the Balinese Dance Ceremony. I recommend this place 1000 times. Thank you for making our stay so special! We will definitely come back!
One of my favorite hostels in Bali! Beds and facilities are all very clean. The staff are amazing, shout out to Wayan, May, Trisye, Eddie, and Sarah. They're all so nice and took great care of the guests. The location is also good, right next to the Uluwatu Temple and near some beaches. I originally booked 2 nights, but extended an extra 5 nights. Highly recommend.
Design of the property, it’s minimalist and clean vibe, size of the room, comfortable bed and terrace to hang out. Pool is a plus. The staff are kind and in terms of value is pretty good ( actually all Bali properties I stayed are good value). Near Uluwatu Temple and Nyangnyang beach. Can also rent motorbike good rate.
We stayed in the hotel, with a shared pool - as well as one of the private villas with a private pool for a week. Overall, just okay. Wished we’d stayed at Village Bali instead.
Pros: WiFi is fast enough for zoom calls, the decor is modern, the hotel serves cappuccino. The owner Oliver is nice / accommodating.

Tiny and cosy Homestay in Uluwatu area. We just stayed for two nights but would have been here for much longer. Staff is very friendly, feeling more like family. It was the perfect start of our Bali Vacation to calm down. Room is very clean, also the bathroom.
The best place in Uluwatu! The hosts, mom and dad, are incredibly friendly and lovely. This is the second time I've chosen to stay here, and I wouldn't hesitate to return whenever I'm in Bali. The facilities are very clean and comfortable. 100% recommended.
The view of the sea is stunning including amazing sunsets. The food is amazing, we stayed in 7 hotels all around Bali and this was probably one of the best I Staff is great. Seating in the restaurant eating amazing food was the highlight.
It is secluded from the busy areas around Bali so you get the privacy for holiday in Bali. The place built by the cliff also comes with its own beautiful beach. Design of the hotel also is unique in its own way, beautiful!
Super cute, boutique hotel steps from Bingin Beach. The staff is incredible and always attentive, even bringing drinks to the pool or your room. Room is cozy, and the showers are always hot (not a guarantee in Bali).
Our last 2 nights in Bali - great and central location! Very good hospitality. 5 star breakfast. Relaxing atmosphere around the hotel. I would stay again!
