FAQs about hotels in Las Vegas

Take a Chance in Sin City

Famed for its glamorous casinos, celebrity visitors and endless streams of entertainment, Las Vegas buzzes with activity 24/7. Located in the heart of the Nevada desert, this city is called the Entertainment Capital of the World for a reason.

You can stroll down Fremont Street in old Las Vegas like a member of the Rat Pack or act like a modern high-roller at Caesar’s Palace. Prepare for a long night as the neon lights of clubs and casinos will tempt you to sink into the world of gambling and music.

Las Vegas is renowned of its fine dining, great shopping and live performances of famous artists and comedians. Right from the moment you leave McCarran International Airport you can try your luck at a slot machine, but you might want to wait until you get to the Las Vegas strip and the dozens of larger than life casinos.

When you’re ready for a break from the bustle of the city, visit the nearby Hoover Dam with the largest man-made lake, Lake Mead. The Paiute Indian Reservation in Vegas’ downtown area offers something a bit more spiritual.

Whichever type of accommodation you choose, whether a skyscraper hotel or a design city apartment, you’ll never run out of fantastic activities in Sin City. Booking.com has the perfect place to stay for your Vegas vacation.

Plenty of things to do with the kids.

Plenty of things to do with the kids. Not all of them cost an arm and a half. Endless places to eat. One of my favorites is the Peppermill. They have really big portions, so you can easily share. There are so many things to see. Freemont Street is one of my favorite places to go. Great people watching. It's a great time

Re: Mandalay Bay Less than pleasant: 1. There are no USABLE (without a fee) refrigerators in the rooms. 2. Other than in the restaurants or casinos, there is NO PLACE TO SIT in the whole place. Either to wait for someone, or just to rest. I am 75, and had just had a heart operation.

Great views from the top of Strat tower.

Great views from the top of Strat tower. You can make multiple same day trips to the top using the same ticket. The Free Neighborhood bus shuttle around downtown Vegas is great but the timings are inconvenient. There is unlimited zipline rides on SlotZilla, Fremont St Mon-Fri between 12noon - 5pm for the price of 1 ticket. Circus circus has free acrobatics and juggling shows every hour but it lasts only 5 - 10 minutes.

TI is in the midst of all that the Strip has to offer.

TI is in the midst of all that the Strip has to offer. There's the Mirage next store. Attended two shows there before it undergoes an extensive change (into Hard Rock). Across the street is the Venetian and all it's shops. Drove the Strip. Between the Wynn and the Bellagio (with it's fountain show) there's so many folks flocking about. Spent another stay at the Palms, which had some larger rooms; it was near Rio. There I took in another show. Las Vegas is exciting and bold!

I had a great time seeing shows (Dita Las Vegas and Mad Apple) and going out to dinner with friends (Peppermill, Paymon's and Luv-It Frozen Custard). I had a rental car which made getting around easy and parking is ample in Las Vegas. It meant I could get out to the desert (Seven Magic Mountains and Hoover Dam) in the cool part of the day too. I was here for two and a half weeks in June so it was hot outside. All hotels I stayed (Orleans, Planet Hollywood and Palace Station) and places I visited had air conditioning so it wasn't too bad but you wouldn't want to be outside in those temperatures for long even late at night! I loved the glitz and glamour of the light show along the Strip. There is a seamy side to Vegas too. Plus the smoking inside at the casinos was challenging. The people I met were all loveley and friendly and I hope to make it back one day.

There is a lot to see in Las Vegas, plan well as there is nothing else to do than "see stuff". Everything is overpriced and everyone expect 25% tip or they'll sulk openly, even if they "suspect you are cheapo" Focus on seeing the things you want, and bring water and coffe or spend 200USD on coffe and water in 5 days. The Sphere is completely AMAZING and the Circue Soleil shows as well as others are VERY good. Be sure to notice there is a lot of extra taxes and fees on everything so, an advertised 39USD ticket is more like a 100USD ticket. Once in a lifetime with family unless you are a high roller imho.

We loved this hotel! We went for a cheaper room without a view but it was still great - really clean with fresh towels every day. It was a little hard to regulate the temperature in the room but a brilliant stay perfectly located on the strip. Top tip would be to use their online check-in option. We had no waiting in line for our room. You just download an app which is the key to your room. You can check out in the same way. There were big queues at certain points of the day so definitely worth doing.

The room is completely equipped with all the things that you need for a nice stay. Cleaness it was super ok, as well as the location of the hotel (at first we planned to rent a car, but if you move with Uber it will be cheaper and you can enjoy more safely of Las Vegas. By car you are in 5-7 min in the heart of Las Vegas).
