The hotel is family owned and run by Don Mario and his wife. They were both wonderful hosts. My nephew and I felt at home. And don Mario is always making sure you are comfortable and safe during your visit. Take time to talk to don Mario. You’ll learn a thing or two about Quito and the hotel's history. Very interesting. You won't regret it.

Quito is beautiful with many historical places to see, towers to climb, food to eat, however the crime is awful. There are police on basically every corner but sadly most are just staring at their phones. My phone was snatched out my hands while getting out of a taxi, however not one of the dozen police could do anything about it.

Quito is a safe and the people are easy going and gentle.
Quito is a safe and the people are easy going and gentle. The roads can be tricky as some streets in the city are steep and winding. Food is good and the Mitad del Mundo and Intinan Museum did not disappoint. I highly recommend to visit Quito as it has a lot to offer.

A beautiful city filled with character.
A beautiful city filled with character. It's position in the bottom of a valley makes it really unique with stunning mountains in every direction. I felt safe walking around the historic regions. The cathedral and the Virgin of El Panecillo are not to be missed!

We were told by our guides that the Level 2 security rating by the US State Dept has reduced tourism in Quito and other spots in Ecuador, with most people we talked to saying you just need to be careful about when and where you go places. We had no problems in our 5 days in Quito, saw a fair amount of police presence, and felt safe in walking around the city by the basilica. We spent more time out of the city going to Cotopaxi NP, Mindo cloud forest, and middle of the earth and everything was fine. We ate breakfast at our hotel and only one dinner, because we would eat lunch in small villages where the local food was very good, cheap, and they gave you alot of food.

Historic center was vibrant and scenic.
Historic center was vibrant and scenic. Enjoyed visiting the Basilica as well as the magnificent Church of the Franciscans and the colorful architecture and plazas. Enjoyed the chocolate tasting at Mundo, delicious traditional Andean cuisine at Runa Tulpa Andina and excellent continental cuisine at La Vid in the Archbishop's Palace. There was 360 degree view of city from the Statue of the Virgin Panecillo at top of Quito. A major highlight was the tour of the Capilla del Hombre and the home of the artist, Oswaldo Guayasamin.

We spent here 6 night in two different rooms.
The hotel is a restaured colonial house really amazing.
The things that we liked most was the owner that was super helpful and kind, He helped us in many and different ways in our permanence in Ecuador.
The hotel was 3 minutes by feet to plaza grande, perfect to explore the old town, less then one minute to La Ronda.
Beautiful patio.
Both rooms were huge, the same with bathrooms
Powerful Hair dryer avaible
Lawandry service included
Small balcony in each room.
Hernan and Gloria, the manager of the hotel, are very very nice, trustworthy and respectful people. We stayed several times with them and enjoyed the stay with hot water, good Wi-Fi, quiet and clean rooms and basic continental breakfast. The location is really good (just around the corner to the historical Center) and there is a really good pizza place in the quiet street. Hernan also speaks English and knows a lot about Quito and Ecuador and helped us with various things. Thank you for everything!
Very nice small boutique style hotel with exceptionally friendly and accommodating host. Includes restaurant with Ecuadorean cuisine. Great breakfast. Good location with restaurants and nightlife close by.
The hotel is located in the heart of Quito. There are many nice restaurants and cafes nearby. The rooms are large and have all the necessary amenities.
