This hotel is truly five-star. It's unique and one of a kind. While it may not be considered luxury by American standards, it is undoubtedly rich in history, architectural design, and cultural hospitality. The hotel is beautifully designed as a “second home” style, where you are greeted with a welcoming drink, usually fresh juice from its home-grown garden.
The host encourages you to pick any fruits on the property, including pomegranates, dates, oranges, lemons, and figs. Meals are freshly cooked in pottery with vegetables from the garden, local chicken or meats, and cheeses. The staff are incredibly welcoming and warm.
Our room felt like a private mansion, complete with its own courtyard and swimming pool. Overall, it provides an incredible local experience. We are already planning to return with our children.

No decent size shops not even a proper supermarket eg Carrefour. Can be difficult if not speak French or Arabic . Lots of beggars and sad sights like a man scavenging in bins. Dry and hot and dusty. No local bus services . Pedestrian crossings are ignored. Feels like the back of beyond lots of rubbish

Zagora is the gate to the Sahara desert.
Zagora is the gate to the Sahara desert. The village itself has a lot of nice bars, restaurants and hotels, and is the starting point for guided tours in the desert, all or not on a dromedary, all or not with an overnight stay in tent camps, for 1 or more days. Next to that, Zagora has twice a week a very big local market (Wednesday and Sunday) that is a must to experience! Further down the N9 you can find the small town Tamegroute, famous for its artisanal green pottery. Also a must to stop there and see the 7 families at work outside.

Just an absolute wow hotel. We had our own private bungalow with garden and pool. The surroundings of the property are the highlight , beautiful green gardens with tall date palm trees . The staff is friendly.
We stayed 2 nights and did a small biking trip in the oasis. Visited women run and own carpet cooperative and in the afternoon had time in their hammam.
I highly recommend this hotel!
We visited here last August and fell in love with it and on our return to the UK vowed to return asap. The staff, location, food ( breakfast is beyond sumptuous ) are fabulous and amazingly good value. Zagora is a jump off point for visits to the Sahara and so quite a journey from the major Moroccan cities but knowing your accommodation is going to be this good makes it absolutely worth while.
Little Paradise just outside Zagora. Very tastefully renovated. Off season, so we had the place almost to ourselves. Beautiful rooms, nice pool and very well taken care of by Nourredine! We could leave our luggage while spending the night in the dessert! Great breakfast and surprise diner! "Durries" (; and family will be back!
The hotel is very beautiful, with a pool and palm trees! It is great to sit outside your room and enjoy the view and your tea!
The room is very beautiful and very traditional. The bathroom was clean and with a hot water! The breakfast was very tasty and all of the staff were very kind and friendly!!
