Very easy to find. A very friendly host made us feel like at home. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The aircon was very strong. The grass in the hotel was fresh green and nicely taken care of. The swimming pool was a great refreshment since outside was around 45 degrees. The water in the pool was clean! We had great chicken skewers in the evening and a good Moroccan breakfast in the morning. The parking is huge and the gate is locked during the night.

It was just like being at home. The fresh food, family style. The host and everyone at the Riyad were extremely generous and accomodating. The rooms were clean and well equipped with AC. Highly recommend! Abdeslam took us to the desert on a private excursion, made homemade bread inside the sand for us and delicious tajin. We slept in the dunes. He is a real nomad as well as European citizen, so it was easy to connect with him but he still gave us lots of information about their history. We were two young women solo traveling and felt safe and taken care of at all times. Please skip the tourist traps and come here. If you’re interested in culture and understanding nomad berber culture, this is your place. You won’t regret it ❤️

No decent size shops not even a proper supermarket eg Carrefour. Can be difficult if not speak French or Arabic . Lots of beggars and sad sights like a man scavenging in bins. Dry and hot and dusty. No local bus services . Pedestrian crossings are ignored. Feels like the back of beyond lots of rubbish

Zagora is the gate to the Sahara desert.
Zagora is the gate to the Sahara desert. The village itself has a lot of nice bars, restaurants and hotels, and is the starting point for guided tours in the desert, all or not on a dromedary, all or not with an overnight stay in tent camps, for 1 or more days. Next to that, Zagora has twice a week a very big local market (Wednesday and Sunday) that is a must to experience! Further down the N9 you can find the small town Tamegroute, famous for its artisanal green pottery. Also a must to stop there and see the 7 families at work outside.
This is a peaceful quiet oasis in the bustling Zagora, with truly friendly and wonderful people, a refreshing swimming people, beautifully styled and comfortable garden and room, good food and everything you need really! If going to Zagora again, I would come back here!
This was a nice, mansion-like hotel in an oasis kind of setting in the outskirts of Zagora. Although the rooms were cool in December, the hot water was OK. A big plus was that I was able to get dinner around five in the afternoon.
