I can’t say enough wonderful things about this hotel. Beautifully redecorated and new, bedding was so comfortable, and Anna was the best in being so helpful. We stayed at the Carlsbad Inn for a weekend, and the experience was great. The service was excellent, and we were able to enjoy some of the hotel's conveniences, such as renting a nearby tennis court and using the on-site car charging station. It turned out to be very convenient, and the hotel met all our expectations. We had a very pleasant stay.

Karlovy Vary owes its affluent grandeur to no fewer than 13 hot springs and a warm water river. Add to this its colourful façades and tree-lined hill setting, and it’s easy to see why it’s one of Europe’s most sophisticated spa towns.
The best views are from the Deer Leap and Diana Tower lookouts, both high above the Grandhotel Pupp, a famous 5-star hotel which starred as James Bond’s gambling retreat in ‘Casino Royale’. It also hosts an International Film Festival, but the city is really about the waters, a fact reflected in its English name – Carlsbad.
You can take the waters at the 5 springs under the Mill Colonnade, and the wrought-iron Market Colonnade houses 2 more. The Park Colonnade employs a similarly impressive style to protect 3 springs, while a geyser bursts up in the Hot Spring Colonnade. The Castle Tower overlooks the Castle Colonnade waters, and a thermal pool at Spa Hotel Thermal overlooks the city.
The beautiful churches of Karlovy Vary include the Russian-styled Church of St Peter and St Paul. The Moser Glassworks produce suitably high quality products, and the Jan Becher Museum provides an idea of what to fill them with – local Becherovka bitter.
Accommodation on Booking.com includes luxury hotels, city centre apartments and guest houses near Karlovy Vary Airport.
Karlovy Vary is definitely worth a trip. You need to know though that the city is build along the sides of a valley - the river flows through it, and the houses and streets are then steep. If you want to go from one side to the other by car, you are likely to do a round-trip, even if the direct direction would be just opposite of you.
BE aware that entering these colonnades is NOT allowed with your dog (if you travel with one).
The water from the hot springs is drinkable (you will see MANY tourists going around with these typical flat cups where you drink from the handle), but it certainly is an aquired taste (hot, iron-taste, slightly salty, no sulfur though).
The city is best explored by foot and firm foot-wear as you are in for some hiking up and down the many stairs or steep streets that are there.
Famous things to buy are jewelry, sweets, and porcellan or crystal. BE aware though that the real deal (bohemian garnet) is very often falsivied! Ideally, you get a piece from a seller with reputation, AND a certificate!

Very charming old spa town.
Very charming old spa town. Note: the springs are for drinking the water, not bathing. There are plenty of hotels with pools and offering treatments but the famous springs themselves? they're not for swimming! The town has been receiving guests for 200 years now so the basic quality of hotels is quite good. We had nice food but it was not a highlight. Overall, lovely for a short vacation, especially for adults. (I don't think there is much for kids).

Karlovy Vary was serene and less touristy in the first half of December, exactly the way I liked it. It's a perfect location if you like architectures, hot springs and nature walks. It's a perfect location to relax, recharge and rejuvenate. It's a perfect location to splurge for a stay at one of the all-inclusive villas to be pampered. Highly recommend!

Karlovy Vary is a beautiful spa town with many mineral water springs. It is easy to get everywhere by foot. We recommend trying out some of the nice cafes and going for a hike to one of the hills that will grant a beautiful view over the city.

A very beautiful city. Wonderful places to visit everywhere. The hot springs were fantastic. Many nice places to have a coffee or a drink and many very good restaurants, both high quality ones as well as less expensive with traditional Czech food. But unfortunately also some tourist traps.

We liked specially the beautiful architecture and the general relaxed atmosphere of before 1918 of the resort. Also the promenades for strolling on foot with lots of top fashion boutiques We did not expect such a combination of old and modern to function. We did not appreciate the modern buildings from the 70's witch do not integrate.

This is a premium, luxury hotel in the pinpoint perfect center location of the beautiful city of Karlovy Vary. We were traveling as a family of 4 adults and booked the fabulous, clean, roomy, two-story penthouse. Two bathrooms made things much easier. Robes, slippers, great service - everything was exceptional. Staff was kind and attentive. Pool and spa were lovely.
This is a spacious apartment in a nice building with a lift. It overlooks a quiet road with minimal traffic noise. It is easy walking distance to the Grand Hotel Pupp and the base of the Diana Funicular. It was well heated and the kitchen well equipped. There are some restaurants nearby.
This is a fine hotel in Karlovy Vary. Good location on the Main Street and spas. Good breakfast. Small swimming pool but fine to cool off on a hot day. Excellent restaurants nearby. Its a pedestrian area but a taxi can be met outside the theatre in the other side of the canal.
Super apartment! Comfortable, clean, spacious. We've appreciated different pleasant details: a big TV, a good coffee machine, umbrellas, special cups to drink Karlovy Vary mineral water etc.
Location is best point for this hotel. Room has plenty of space. Breakfast was good but there could be some questions about freshness of the served meals.
