The best views are from the Deer Leap and Diana Tower lookouts, both high above the Grandhotel Pupp, a famous 5-star hotel which starred as James Bond’s gambling retreat in ‘Casino Royale’. It also hosts an International Film Festival, but the city is really about the waters, a fact reflected in its English name – Carlsbad.
You can take the waters at the 5 springs under the Mill Colonnade, and the wrought-iron Market Colonnade houses 2 more.
