Location is great and the staff is simply amazing. Room was perfect for a disconnected getaway and had a great opportunity to attend a musical performance in the building during my stay. I received superb suggestions for planning my route in the nature and I very much enjoyed the adventure in the nature. Food and drinks in the restaurant were wonderful.

The location is very convenient for exploring Gauja National Park. Līgatne is a very quiet and peaceful village. We really appreciated the washing machine. There was a local power outage and the owner came to check on us and gave us extra lights and batteries, for which we were very grateful.

Beautiful, picturesque place.
Beautiful, picturesque place. Stunning nature, forest parks, nature trails. We visit the Lygatnes rocks and the Lygatnes nature trail. It is a pity that the tourist information center was not open. I was hoping that they would advise me on more attractions.

It's like Latvian Twin Peaks.
It's like Latvian Twin Peaks. Take your time to wander around, up and down, all these wooden pathways and roads. I especially like to walk in Līgatne during the dark hours. Very mystic and inspirational.

This place offers a geography that is not present in most of Latvia. While most of the country is flat as a pancake, this place has some hills and cliffs of exposed compressed sand. Gauja river is nearby if you want to have a swim or sail a boat.
There's not much to visit though, and because of the tourists, the prices are insane for Latvian countryside. All three places you can eat in are expensive and the food is so-so. There's a zoo, a suspended net park for kids, and old abandoned paper factory that requires you to book tours in advance. That's about it.

Really kind and responsive hosts, tasty breakfast, quietness, located next to the pine forest. We stayed in Plavas Apartments and it was possible to sit outside on the patio and watch sunset. The hotel also has a cosy library with plenty of books, TV and a piano in it.
Added value was an opportunity to try Tīklu parks attraction free of charge.
I enjoyed the Green Bear a lot. It is within walking distance of all the main places in Līgatne and at the same time is located in a quiet and beautiful spot. I had a room with a view of the street, and it's beautiful too. The house itself is a renovated wooden house that has retained an atmosphere of the older days.
The house is located in a very beautiful place by the river. Everything in the house is thought out and feels like home. Līgatne's fabulous nature and nature park for walks. A fantastic place to relax from everyday life :) at a very affordable price.
Very nice place in very good location. Highly recommend to those who want to explore Līgatne center and stay a night in a place from which everything is easily accessible.
