the location is very good. The yard is very nice, cute, a lot of roses. The apartment is wonderful, very clean, modern. Very fast Internet, large modern TV, all equipment, dishes, furniture, bedclothes are new.

A wonderful two-story house to stay at while visiting Ligatne. Exceptional location if you are having a meal at the restaurant Pavaru Maja - it is less than a 5-minute walk away. Beautiful surroundings. The house is very comfortable and has everything that you may need, including AC. A bed and 2 additional sofa beds in different rooms makes it a great place to stay for a group of friends.

Beautiful, picturesque place. Stunning nature, forest parks, nature trails. We visit the Lygatnes rocks and the Lygatnes nature trail. It is a pity that the tourist information center was not open. I was hoping that they would advise me on more attractions.

It's like Latvian Twin Peaks.
It's like Latvian Twin Peaks. Take your time to wander around, up and down, all these wooden pathways and roads. I especially like to walk in Līgatne during the dark hours. Very mystic and inspirational.

This place offers a geography that is not present in most of Latvia. While most of the country is flat as a pancake, this place has some hills and cliffs of exposed compressed sand. Gauja river is nearby if you want to have a swim or sail a boat.
There's not much to visit though, and because of the tourists, the prices are insane for Latvian countryside. All three places you can eat in are expensive and the food is so-so. There's a zoo, a suspended net park for kids, and old abandoned paper factory that requires you to book tours in advance. That's about it.

Gorgeous nature, nice walking trails and the nature reserve...
Gorgeous nature, nice walking trails and the nature reserve is a must-visit. And the soviet bunker of course is also a must-see. A great place to visit which is close to the city yet far enough to have its own vibe.
A very cool hotel with a great vibe, installed in an old helmet factory, tasteful industrial design, comfortable rooms, quiet at night, good breakfast (several porridge and omlet options, etc), lots of things to explore around. We booked for one night, and stayed for another one and we will be back.
Nice and very clean apartment in Ligatne. Newly renovated, has well equipped kitchen. We spent there one night in December. Check in was easy, just read instructions carefully to find the right apartment (the number may be not very visible at dark).
Best location. Nice view. Playground for kids. Goats and sheeps. Walking trails and nature right next to accommodation. Good dinner and morning coffee in Zeit hotel restaurant. Comfortable beds.
