Fantastic breakfast with lots of choices and beautiful dining hall. Check in staff were very friendly. The facilities on first floor are beautiful but the rooms themselves are very plain and a bit worn. This is actually where the train stops in Oppdal but there was no problem at all with noise. Easy walk into town and up to the base of the ski lift.

We stayed for 2 nights in a cabin. The campground facilities were excellent overall. The owner was extremely helpful and nice. The cabin itself was very clean and had everything we needed (kitchen, utensils, shower, heat, TV etc). Only thing we had to share with other people in the campground was the clothes washer & dryer; but we had no issues with their availability.

Host was very friendly and accommodating. Great location outside Oppdal. Great hiking, Great bakery, great scenery. Our stay was really nice. We could have spent several nights there. Nice old time Norwegian hytte.

Oppdal has many options for hiking around during the summer time, some of those are short distance from the center, some - you need to drive a little bit. It is also a gateway to moose safari (I saw one when walking in the area) and musk ox. Great views to valley from the top of nearby Mountains.

The place provides you with a lot more then you would inspect. There are several stores to get or update equipment for hiking / camping. You find Galleries with great work, there are all kind of options for food in town.
If you want to go out there are multiple bars and places for a drink.
Nice place, will for sure come back.
P.S If you are also a photographer, bring your gear there is no place to buy photo equipment or even SD cards. The local Elkjop is missing it they dont provide any photo equipment.

Clean and fresh rooms. Good for spending a night along the road. Located right beside the main road (E6) that goes from south to north all through Norway. It is only a few minutes drive from Oppdal, the nearest town. Nearby you can go skiing, cycling, mountain hiking etc. Friendly staff and great food in the restaurant.
We had a nice cabin. It was clean with quite some space. Toilet, kitchen and washing facilities were closeby. The location was fine. Close to Oppdal and Dovrefjell NP. Owner was friendly and helpful.
