Very good breakfast and evening meal - food in general of a high standard. This hotel is in a fairly remote location though easily accessible via a good road it stands alone in glorious countryside. 10 minutes walk from the railway station, an excellent location for walkers and obviously heated up for this activity. We went for the walking and loved it!

The reception was closed and we had to phone to fond how to access our room. The restaurant was also closed. As I had booked because of the eating facilities advertised, this was very disappointing.

Oppdal has many options for hiking around during the summer time, some of those are short distance from the center, some - you need to drive a little bit. It is also a gateway to moose safari (I saw one when walking in the area) and musk ox. Great views to valley from the top of nearby Mountains.

The place provides you with a lot more then you would inspect. There are several stores to get or update equipment for hiking / camping. You find Galleries with great work, there are all kind of options for food in town.
If you want to go out there are multiple bars and places for a drink.
Nice place, will for sure come back.
P.S If you are also a photographer, bring your gear there is no place to buy photo equipment or even SD cards. The local Elkjop is missing it they dont provide any photo equipment.
A cute, clean & cozy apartment. Nice host. Everything was clean. I liked the creek next to the house. Beautiful view from the veranda and windows. You can see the mountain and littler plateau mountain of Oppdal on the other side on which I hiked that one monday evening and was impressed and amused somehow because I met on the way up and on the way down so many locals who obviously did their evening sports.
Very nice camping just few km before Oppdal. The room was in a building behind the reception and it was actually great like you have a small house in the nature and have your car parked in your yard (my car was 10m from my door, visible).
It was spacious, warm, with a spaciuous bathroom, a small kitchen and a table to put your notebook or eat. Everything you need so!!
Lovely appartement, stylishly furnished, nice view, provides all you can wish for. We found Oppdal a good base for many beautiful hikes in Trollheimen, Dovre Fjell, Storlidalen etc.
Contact with owners very straightforward. They were very courteous and replied to our questions in the course of a few minutes only.
This is a great hotel. It was very busy when we had an overnight stay. Good public spaces and the room was very modern. The catering was of a high standard and breakfast was excellent. The staff were professional and very friendly. Good parking for the motorcycles. Highly recommended for a very comfortable stay.
Very nice cottages in the center of Oppdal. We stayed here for the third time en we enjoyed the cottages, prime location and support of the owner very much!
