The number one positive for this hotel is it's location. It is walking distance to the airport and most of the rental car companies return area. It needs to not rest solely on this laurel.
This hotel offers a free drop-off shuttle service to the neighboring Keflavík International Airport between 04:00 and 10:00. WiFi and private parking are also free.

It was very convenient to have a room to sleep for a few hours after arriving in the middle of the night. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. I am, however, shocked that they listed it as being soundproof. I heard the housekeeper vacuuming, the cars in the parking lot outside of our room, and even the cell phone ringing in the room next-door.

The staff were very helpful and allowed an early check upon our room being cleaned which was needed for our sleep deprivation.
In addition, the property is very clean and the hot roof top tub was very relaxing! Watching the volcano eruption from the property was a bonus!!

The surroundings of Keflavík are mainly known for volcanic activity, hot springs and beaches marked by volcanic activity. It's definitely an interesting place, but don't look for greenery there.

The airport is crowded, with confusing signage with so many tourists arriving and departing . Only 2 fastfood outlet in the check
In hall , so you don‘t have many options taking your lunch or dinner. But after safety control you have more choices on dining.
The very good thing with ICELANDAIR is evening check in for your next morning flight is really a great thing you can do , so on the morning you don‘t have to check in , just straight going to safety control with boarding pass which is will save you a lot of time.

I am sure staying at ConVin was expensive, but they had a great bistro there, and we were able to take advantage and have a great meal there. Near Bank guesthouse there are few food options. Taxi a necessity to the airport, or bus (15 min walk)

Everyone I came in contact with at the airport spoke English - a big plus for me as I don't speak Icelandic. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful to me. I had fish and chips from one of the restaurants and it was very good. There is a "Meeting Point" where I was told to go upon arriving at the airport and someone came and got me from there for wheelchair assistance, Very efficient. Unfortunately, there was a gate change for my aircraft and the wheelchair people didn't get the message so I had to push my chair - using it like a walker - and when the gate agent saw me, he was upset that I didn't have someone pushing me. He set me down and pushed me himself.

The town is situated near to the airport.
The town is situated near to the airport. We had spent the afternoon exploring the peninsula there, going right to the tip. There are two lighthouses there and a local history museum. (Free admission at time of visit). It was worth the visit. There is also a restaurant attached.
In the town, there is a main street with a number of shops/bars/restaurants, along with a supermarket. There is also a promenade for strolling along.

Keflavik is easily overlooked by many whom just go straight to the capital but honestly its such a nice little town, there's enough to see and do to last a decent amount of time and in comparison at least for me was more fun to explore than the capital!
The hotel is located 150 meters from the Keflavik airport terminal. It's nearly essential for someone having an early morning flight. Breakfast is served from 04:30. The restaurant works till 22:00. Not the greatest food, but definitely satisfying.
A good way to finish a two week tour to Iceland
Perfect for airport and early morning flight, our room overlooked the harbour and had a small balcony. the restaurant in the hotel was lovely and food was very very good. reasonable breakfast also included and courtesy bus to the airport. Great for our needs.
Well located close to the terminal building and the car hire offices at Keflavik international airport. Comfortable, clean hotel. Pleasant food. A good choice if you have an early flight and want to stay at the airport beforehand. Free parking on site.
The hotel is close to the airport (5 min drive). The rooms were clean and overall vibe was really good. There are good restaurants in walking distance to the hotel. The free airport shuttle (sometimes taxi) offered by the hotel was also super helpful.
Very good facilities with a good restaurant, breakfast, comfort, general atmosphere and a free shuttle to the airport. Everything one needs for a late arrival or an early departure with a great value for money
