Wonderful and cozy location right on the fjord and perfect to take the fjord cruise.
Very good breakfast, room simple but comfortable and warm
Good restaurant with good choice of hearty specialties and reasonable prices

The Stalheim Hotel is in an exceptionally beautiful location, hign the hills in fjord country. Our room had a stunningly good view up the valley and was clean and perfect for us. The meals were exceptionally good, both breakfast and dinner. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Hiking in the area is delightful. The historical maps, furniture and artifacts in the common area are quite interesting. This is a wonderful place to stay or to have a destination event like a wedding.
This hotel is 328 feet from Flåm Train Station and offers free WiFi and private parking. Rooms at Flåmsbrygga Hotel feature Norwegian pinewood paneling and tea/coffee facilities.

The room is clean and comfortable. Coffee machine available in room. I can enjoy the fjord view from the balcony + the hotel provides a blanket for sitting outside. Breakfast has various foods to eat. The dinner restaurant hotel is delicious.

The location is perfect, couldn't ask for me, the attention to detail could have been better:
Free teas and coffee, never any milk
The bar by the reception poorly staffed, waited 30 mins for someone to serve
Fondu was delicious but no prices or menu
Main restaurant, first night served the wrong dinner, New years eve served the wrong wine
Beds were made but the rooms not cleaned
As I say location is outstanding but the hotel draws on the fact they are the only hotel in the area
This family-run hotel is located 328 feet from Aurlandsfjord’s waterfront. It is within 3 minutes’ walk of the Nærøyfjord Ferry Terminal and Aurlandsvangen Bus Stop.

Very clean, and breakfast was delicious! The staff was very friendly and the view of the fjord was amazing! Walking distance to a small grocery store and a Gastropub that had an excellent dinner and bar menu!
Vangsgaarden Gjestgiveri is located in the oldest buildings in the village of Aurland. Located on the shores of Aurlandsfjord, it offers wonderful views of the surrounding mountains.

Fantastic location right on the fjord within walking distance to the ferry dock and grocery. Unbeatable views of the fjord. We rented one of the little cabins with a small loft bedroom, and my son loved sleeping up there. The accommodations were comfortable and clean. Good breakfast buffet. Highly recommended and would love to stay here again. Thanks to the staff too!
Easy and pleasant hike along the old road to Bakka.
Easy and pleasant hike along the old road to Bakka. An hour there and an hour back.
I caught the Lady Elisabeth ferry to Flam and had it all to myself. The Monday 8.30am ferry in the off season is a winner! I noticed that the 9.30am catamaran was much busier when it arrived in Flam around 20 minutes after my boat. Obviously a shorter but more popular journey.

We read great reviews about the Viking Village - honestly I would give it a miss. I wish we had done kayaking instead of the village that morning, waste of time and money. I love museums, and cultural/heritage ones especially. But this one was disappointing. Limited food options in town and be aware the shuttle bus back to Flam DOES sell out! Book tickets early!

It's a nice and calm town.
It's a nice and calm town. The Vikings museum is a must-have to visit. You can go kayaking or on a trip on a ferry. You can also go hiking or enjoy the beauty of nature. There is a small grocery store available with all the essential things.

A spectatular setting where you can just relax and soak up the magnificent scenery. Fire pits to keep you warm while you sit outside (with a drink). The staff were extremely friendly. Right next to jetty where you can pick up the fabulous, all electric, boat to Flam (which is also just a 15 minute car journey away). The Viking Village is a 3 minute walk away and well worth visiting - something we nearly dismissed but really pleased we didn't! Menu a little limited for those staying more than a few day but the food we did order was excellent. A unique and wonderful end to our dream holiday!

It is a wonderful place on the fjord with views you will never forget. The house is big enough and has everything you need. The host is accommodating and lives nearby, so you can always ask for help. There is a motor boat available at a highly fair price. Very quiet place with scenic views and one of the greatest hikes within walking distance. You can also use sauna and BBQ. The parking is free right near the house.
The location of this hotel is exceptional, as is the concept, BUT the hotel itself is in need of a refurb and refresh, especially given it was the most expensive place we stayed during our 12 day tour of Norway. We stayed in a Viking room in the round house - a bit gimmicky, but fun. All in all, a pleasant stay - mainly due to the views of the fjord and the onsite Viking village.
Very clean, well serviced and a good base for Gudvangen/Flam. We were a little concerned beforehand about the shared toilet/shower thing, but in our two night stay it was never an issue. Shared facilities, like the bedroom, were very clean and other guests were very discreet. Another bonus was the free use of the washing machine and tumble dryer; much appreciated. Very good stay.
They gave us a beautiful, very comfortable standalone suite with a kitchenette. The restaurant was phenomenal - one of the best meals I've had. The location is amazing. I was a little concerned that the Fjordtell would be cheesy, but it was really really good. They have a very pleasant patio area with cozy seating and fires. Great price for the value.
