We did not stay in the city but we did have a look around it before reaching our hotel. The city looks somewhat rundown and we would only visit again if on business. Our hotel outside the city was perfectly located in the countryside.

Perth is a perfect location for people who need to travel on public transport, as it is a hub for trains and buses. It has 3 museums, a concert hall, beautiful gardens and walks along the River Tay. Close by are historic places such as Scone Palace, where Scottish Kings were crowned. For those who like shopping there is a good selection of retailers, many of whom are independent traders.

Got to see the Stone of Destiny and the Unicorn Exhibit at the museum, as well as Huntingtower Castle (REALLY adorable and neat castle)!

Museum well worth a visit, and good walking through lovely park on north side of river (suggest using footway on railway bridge to make a good corcle). many interesting buildings, and of Scone Palace is very near,
I booked the wrong hotel as I was looking for a hotel in Perth Australia. I could not see on the booking site, that the hotel was in an other country. I noticed the mistake afterwards and contact Booking and hotel and asked them to annulate the booking, but the hotel just ignored our writing and just cached the money. Really bad style.
Chose not to have breakfast and stayed room only . Location is brilliant for central Perth and hotel had free parking . We even got to book in a little early as the room was ready . Staff who ended up covering reception (from the kitchen) super friendly . It was cheap and cheerful so if your ok with shabby it’s clean and warm up
Central location in Perth. Excitingly historical hotel (dates back to the 17th century)! It is not for everyone but I loved the dated decor - very cosy (and clean). I really appreciated that there were windows that could be opened in the room (not the case in some modern hotels). Helpful staff.
The breakfast was really good, only slight downfall no yogurts. Everything else was exceptional. The location would be slightly better if the hotel was a little more in the centre of Perth.
