Friendly staff and very welcoming.
We dined at the hotel and loved the Indian/Nepalese food.
Comfy bed and warm room.
Bottles of water supplied.
Good quality loo roll!
One of the most unique hotels in Perth, in a 15th-century watermill, where you can still watch the water trickling through the original water wheel from the garden, lobby area and Lounge Bar.

Perth has some unexpected museums and galleries, worth visiting and the surrounding country is stupendous: daytrips to hike in the Highlands, to walk along the golf links south of St Andrews, see the art center in Dundee are all possible with a car, even in winter.
When in Perth, get up early enough to have a full breakfast at Effies on the High Street: it will set you up for a good day!

No Christmas celebrations or welcoming atmosphere.
No Christmas celebrations or welcoming atmosphere. Unable to get food ANYWHERE on Boxing Day apart from takeaways and Wetherspoon. Hotels refused service because we were not resident. Our hotel very uncomfortable spent most of the time walking about. Would never go back to Perth even though I have been there several times before. Didn't take photos, Perth was miserable and deserted.

We enjoyed the Black Watch castle and museum which had an excellent cafe selling teas, coffees, wines and spirits and yummy cake along with light lunches. We spent a couple of hours following the outside sculpture/art trail through the park and into the town, and found it very interesting. Plenty of good restaurants, cafes and bars. We had a lovely stroll along the banks of the river.

Best B&B during our 2 weeks Ireland, N-Ireland and Scotland tour
Great old style hotel with traditional features. Staff are first rate. Plenty areas to relax around the hotel and has an excellent dining space overlooking garden and river. Also outside sitting area and short walk to centre of Perth.
It is cool to stay in the oldest hotel in Scotland. The room is big, clean, and comfortable on the top floor. The room was actually divided into two bedrooms with a TV in each. They also provide a kettle to make hot tea or coffee.
