Jason in the dining area was friendly and helpful asking if we knew the area and offering us suggestions for places to visit, which we were very grateful for! The spa facilities were good which certainly made up for the fact we had arrived during a storm and the bridge was shut which had added over an hour to our journey due to traffic and going the long way round. Once at the hotel all that was forgotten about and we had a great time! We were also impressed that the staff had made the large ginger bread house for the Santa's Grotto, we couldn't believe it was all edible!!!
The Priory is nestled within the historic town of Caerleon on the River Usk. Dating back to 1180, this hotel was originally a Cistercian monastery.

The Priory has everything, the location, the building, the atmosphere, service, along with really good food and drinks.
Our stay was super comfortable and the room was lovely.
This historic country inn has delicious food and luxury rooms. It is within a few km of the famous Celtic Manor Resort, home of the 2010 Ryder Cup. The Old Barn Inn dates back to the early 1750s.
Set within 2000 acres of parkland in the beautiful Usk Valley, this historic 19th-century manor house features original features such as wood-paneled walls and a sweeping wooden staircase.

The Days Inn was warm and comfortable, great for access to south Wales, Bristol and the southern counties of England, we like going over the Severn bridges. We ate at Wagamama in Cardiff and the Grupo Lounge, Westbury on Trym, Bristol with family and friends, just great. We arrived late on the first night and went to the Coldra Beefeater at the next junction into Wales, we won't be visiting there again, not very friendly, food less than average, nothing to write home about!

There on business and the hotel was more than adequate for staying over for a night but not sure what Magor has to offer.
The Hotel was great but for some reason they didn't do an evening meal but did breakfast, that's not clear when you book and the local restaurant they recommend is really not worth the visit.

It was a great location for Caldicot castle where I went to watch a concert. It’s just off the motorway and easy to get too. Also as it’s in a srvice station it’s got good shops and facilities around it including a costa a McDonald’s and a WH Smith all open late and early.

Room was ok although we booked a double and they gave us a disabled facility room - which was on the fourth floor as far away from a lift as possible! The fourth floor also smelt strongly of cigarette smoke. Changed us to a double room on a different floor but wouldn't move our daughter as they couldn't change from a twin room, which is strange since they changed us from a double to a disabled double, without us requesting, and back to a double.
Staff were lovely but the breakfast was not very nice at all. Didn't bother with it the second morning.
The hotel did the job but not an excellent stay.

Ask for a room at back of hotel, due to 24 hour McDonald's people stand around outside talking all night and can hear in rooms. Room, beds, facilities and staff all good just shame about lack of sleep due to people!

The hotel is reasonable, not expensive and has clean rooms with clean bedding and is accessible to the brewery. They do not serve food although the service station is next door you can purchase food from, the hotel sells coupons and has a choice of food.
No problem parking but mention your car number plate for free parking. Staff are helpful.

This is not the first time my family and I have stayed at this hotel (10+ nights totally), and we always feel comfortable and relaxed. A quiet place (at least when the windows overlook the backyard), excellent value for money, but most importantly - the staff! All of these lovely ladies are very polite and friendly, caring and exceed expectations. I feel like a very welcome guest, as if I came to visit my relatives :) We would love to stay here again. Thank you so much!
Room was good - restaurant in hotel was disappointing. No waiters - just bar code style ordering with mobile phone - mine didn’t cooperate so had to get receptionist/bargirl to sort it. No other restaurant anywhere close. The food when it came was surprisingly quite tasty.
The staff, especially the South African young man, was very friendly and hospitable. The Hotel was really clean and nicely decorated. The room was spacious and lovely.
