It was a great location for Caldicot castle where I went to watch a concert. It’s just off the motorway and easy to get too. Also as it’s in a srvice station it’s got good shops and facilities around it including a costa a McDonald’s and a WH Smith all open late and early.

Room was ok although we booked a double and they gave us a disabled facility room - which was on the fourth floor as far away from a lift as possible! The fourth floor also smelt strongly of cigarette smoke. Changed us to a double room on a different floor but wouldn't move our daughter as they couldn't change from a twin room, which is strange since they changed us from a double to a disabled double, without us requesting, and back to a double. Staff were lovely but the breakfast was not very nice at all. Didn't bother with it the second morning. The hotel did the job but not an excellent stay.

Ask for a room at back of hotel, due to 24 hour McDonald's people stand around outside talking all night and can hear in rooms. Room, beds, facilities and staff all good just shame about lack of sleep due to people!

The hotel is reasonable, not expensive and has clean rooms with clean bedding and is accessible to the brewery. They do not serve food although the service station is next door you can purchase food from, the hotel sells coupons and has a choice of food. No problem parking but mention your car number plate for free parking. Staff are helpful.

Everything was fine except an extra cost than the online quote when we booked in for my dogs, not previously disclosed, and an excessive amount of dog poo along the front of the hotel right under the windows

The view from the upper floor was lovely!

The view from the upper floor was lovely! Although the hotel is near an industrial facility it was not a problem at all! The hotel is ideally suited to visit Chepstow and the lower reaches of the Wye valley. Also the lower reaches of the Severn. There are some delightful areas nearby (30’). Chepstow and Symonds Yat. We chose the hotel because it was cheaper than those in the towns which were exorbitant due to the ending of Covid hotel restrictions. We are so glad we did as the facilities were excellent! A car is a requirement!

Brand new building, very clean and well designed. Comfortable rooms with every detail nicely thought-through. There was a small gym. Very clean hotel with convenient access from parking. Somewhat difficult to find access but nothing that makes it a problem. Breakfast was typical American-style continental basic. Very friendly staff. Hotel located in industrial subdivision.

Staff exemplary; welcoming efficient and very helpful ( moved my room to ground floor without being asked). Despite being at a motorway service area the hotel was quiet and felt as if in the countryside- lots of birdsong and little else to be heard. Really clean room and nice bedding

The room was beautiful with lots of really nice extra touches. It was like staying in a luxury chalet, so much better than a hotel. The breakfast was good quality, homemade bread and homemade butter, all Welsh products too. Staff were very friendly and helpful too.

The girl on checkin was super friendly and helpful while being under a lot of workload managing the hotel AND the services next door. The bed was really comfy and everything was clean, good coffee facilities too. Was excellent for the overnight stay I had
