The location was ideal for being able to experience all of Arran but also finding some peace and quiet. The little stream was loved by our dog and made sitting out on the decking all the more peaceful. Its a compact but very well thought out space. Hosts were super friendly & very helpful.

Two nights was just enough to explore Lamlash and Whiting Bay, walk the circular route round to see Giants Graves and then continue the coastal path up to Brodick to get the ferry home. If I had longer I'd stay in a few more locations, get over to Holy Island and/or hire a bike to get further afield. Lovely location for quiet walks, views, time alone and very dog-friendly. Prepare for all weathers.

Very quaint small town, not crowded.
Very quaint small town, not crowded. Not a lot of choice for places to eat, or grocery stores, but sufficient enough. The natural beauty of the area and lack of crowds more than makes up for any shortfalls, and with an easy and short bus ride over to Brodick, your choices double with more restaurants and things to do, though a little more crowded than Lamlash. Be prepared to do a bit of walking to get anywhere in Lamlash, particularly if you stay at someplace like the Arran Sleep huts, as they are nearly at the far end of the town, and are about 10 minutes to the nearest bus stop for Brodick.

Lamlash, although a small village had stunning views to Holy Isle, a small supermarket, a couple of pubs serving food, (The Drift Inn), good bus service connecting to Brodick as well as option to travel to the Holy Isle by boat. The Coast Discovery Centre is free to visit and the Arran Coastal path passes through either to Whiting Bay or to Brodick.

Lamlash is the prettiest village on Arran, with the most beautiful views.
There are charming art & craft shops, lovely cafes with home baking and the ferry over to Holy Isle goes from the pier.
The Lamlash Bay hotel serve delicious evening meals. There are other bars & restaurants as an alternative.
Buses go through the village in either direction, so it's easy to get around the island from here (get a timetable).
Super place to stay excellent location, loved the shared kitchen idea although we didn’t use it.The hotel was very clean and the laundry smelt fresh comfy beds and clean bathroom although basic it was faultless with the best view of the shoreline from our window Lovely little town with amazing views and plenty to do. So many places to eat just a short walk from the accomodation and all excellent.
The cottage was much bigger than it looks in the photos. Very well decorated and furnished, with everything we could need. It is in a good location - an easy walk from everything in Lamlash.
