The Breakfast was lovely! The owner had a lovely chat with us and was very attentive - we all got a cooked breakfast in some form or other and we were all happy with the food. On top of that, there was a small continental selection available as well (included) so we had yoghurts and things too. Breakfast takes place in the Tapas Bar/Restaurant area, which has a lovely walk through and theming.

Horncastle is a former market town (and cattle-market town) now fallen on hard times. It has several, ahem, antique shops at the junk shop end of the scale. It continues to have a few eating places. as well as the Admiral Rodney hotel, the Montebello is an excellent Italian.

Horncastle is a small former market town.

Horncastle is a small former market town. Although in decline since the loss of the market, it still has character. It has several antique shops, some of them better described as junk shops, and a second-hand book shop. It's certainly worth a stroll around. Its location is good for off-the-beaten-track exploring of this part of Lincolnshire, and is within moderate distance of Boston and Lincoln, as well as being close to the historic RAF aeroplane locations.

It's a small town with plenty of history including a roman wall, various churches within easy reach and is on the Viking Way. It has lots of antique and vintage stores, plenty of cute charity stores. There are several cafes including The Forgotten Tearoom which is a combination of vintage store and traditional tea room with afternoon teas and sandwiches. There is also a glorious thatched roof, traditional pub which is painted pink and serves great pies. There is a small outdoor market in the square twice a week.

Stayed on a Sunday night, the town was pretty quiet, but certainly not empty. Clean streets and a good selection of places to drink, but not all places serve food on Sunday nights. The independent family owned Italian restaurant, Montebello, was terrific, in regards to the food, the service and the location.

This is a stunning converted barn in a perfect location. You are in the middle of beautiful countryside but in walking distance of Horncastle and a lovely pub serving excellent food. The property itself is exceptional, spotlessly clean and has everything you could possibly need. Large bedrooms with fabulous views of the countryside. Abi and Alex are extremely helpful and friendly and on hand for anything you may need. We will definitely be back.

I was allowed an early check-in which was very generous of the team and such a huge benefit. They were very helpful despite the fact that they were also busy running a bar and restaurant. The room was lovely with some very nice touches. The breakfast was exceptional, cooked to order and scrumptious. The hotel is centrally located in Horncastle so it was very easy to tour the area and access local shops.

Lovely historic listed hotel, very peaceful location. very well maintained and lovely room. Exceptional staff, always facilitated and clearly worked well as a team both as a group and toward customer focus. The chef, when we stayed, was clearly very talented. The menu was well thought out and the food was beautiful.
