Immaculate cottage with character. The hosts were very friendly, had baked cakes, breakfast, lager's, milk etc in the fridge. Attention to detail was amazing. Immediately felt at home. Only stayed one night so felt wasted.

Very quiet restful nights as we stayed 2 nights would have loved to say longer. Will stay again and keep in touch with Judi the amenities was ample. They even made us pancakes on the evening of pancake day. We didn’t watch much telly as too busy talking to the owners and petting their dogs

Lunch in the sun on the patio was lovely overlooking the gardens and the English Menu was wonderful! Delicious! Everyone who works there is SO nice and helpful and goes out of their way to make you happy. There are cozy sofas in different traditional rooms while having tea, coffee or drinks and great cakes for afternoon tea (a la British Baking Show). The Inn is beautiful and the room was clean and modern. History is everywhere!

Horncastle is a small former market town.
Horncastle is a small former market town. Although in decline since the loss of the market, it still has character. It has several antique shops, some of them better described as junk shops, and a second-hand book shop. It's certainly worth a stroll around. Its location is good for off-the-beaten-track exploring of this part of Lincolnshire, and is within moderate distance of Boston and Lincoln, as well as being close to the historic RAF aeroplane locations.

It's a small town with plenty of history including a roman wall, various churches within easy reach and is on the Viking Way. It has lots of antique and vintage stores, plenty of cute charity stores. There are several cafes including The Forgotten Tearoom which is a combination of vintage store and traditional tea room with afternoon teas and sandwiches. There is also a glorious thatched roof, traditional pub which is painted pink and serves great pies.
There is a small outdoor market in the square twice a week.

Stayed on a Sunday night, the town was pretty quiet, but certainly not empty. Clean streets and a good selection of places to drink, but not all places serve food on Sunday nights. The independent family owned Italian restaurant, Montebello, was terrific, in regards to the food, the service and the location.

It was a sleepy Country town that has a lot of History if you have the time to spend there. I used to go to the Rodney Hotel when my Uncle Fred scrambled at Cadwell Park a little further north. I was a young child and teanager and I think we would meet on the Sunday for a Meal after the Races, before they went back to Cheshire.
We have visited this hotel for many years as we have family living locally. The staff are always helpful and friendly. Nothing ever seems to be too much trouble. Food is excellent - we really like the new Restaurant Manager. Reception staff well informed and helpful. Staff have a good knowledge of the region and will make recommendations when requested.
We loved this little cottage. It's in a great location, close to horncastle, woddhall Spa, and raf coningsby. The cottage is cute and quaint, and comfortable. Comfy , reclining sofa, and comfortable beds. TV and books provided.
The lovely owner introduced herself then left us to get on. Would recommend.
Exellent hosts, very friendly. Made me feel at home immediately. Delicious breakfast. A short walk into Horncastle. Only 7 miles from Cadwell park. Off road parking. Highly recommended.
